Colony I at Oyster Bay - Relax and Enjoy! in Sunset Beach

Colony I at Oyster Bay Golf Course is located in Sunset Beach, Brunswick County, North Carolina, just across the road from the Intracoastal Waterway and minutes from the bridge leading to the Atlantic Ocean and the beach.

Unit 14F is a third, top floor unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  The unit, combined with its cathedral ceiling and glass sliding doors and windows is bright and very quiet.    

The condo is fully furnished with two double beds in each bedroom and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.  The kitchen is equipped with all that is necessary to enjoy meals in the unit, including a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender and coffeemaker.  Both bedrooms have a private bath, television and seating area.  Each bedroom has access to either the wrap around deck or screened porch for outdoor seating.

The main living area accesses the private, wrap around deck.  Furnishings in that room include a 32" flat screen television. 

From the windows throughout the unit are views of the Oyster Bay Golf Course and pond.    

The unit is also furnished with bath towels and bed linens.  Bring your own beach towels and gear.  There is a washer and dryer for your convenience.

This is a NO SMOKING and NO PET unit.

The complex offers a pool and community deck with outdoor lounge furniture, hot tub and picnic table.  Barbecue grills, full size tennis court and basketball hoop are on nicely landscaped grounds shaded by mature trees.

Sunset Beach is located between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC.   There is also easy access to points south, including Georgetown and Charleston, SC.

Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach offer pure fun.  There are dozens of miniature golf courses, NASCAR speedpark with its go carts, outlet shopping, musical shows, such as the Carolina Opry and Alabama Theatre, arcades and boutique shopping-all within thirty minutes of the condo.

For history lovers, there are numerous antebellum plantations, colonial era BrunswickTown, Fort Fisher, a civil war fort and Moore's Creek battlefield, the battleship North Carolina in Wilmington and the aircraft carrier Yorktown in Charleston, SC., all within easy driving distance.   Enjoy the colonial and antebellum architecture in Charleston and Wilmington.

Gardeners will enjoy Orton Plantation and Brookhaven Gardens and the early April Azalea Festival in Wilmington where costumed belles provide tours of private gardens.

The entire area is known for its many top-rated golf courses. 

The area abounds with restaurants.  Calabash, our immediate neighbor, offers a dozen seafood reastaurants from the outdoor seafood shack to the more refined Boundary House.  In between are the classic Calabash fried seafood restaurants lining the working fishing piers.  Each evening you can watch the fishermen unload their catch.

The real draw is the beautiful, uncrowded beach.  Sunset Beach is a wide expanse of pure sand.  It boasts a long pier jutting into the ocean where you can spend the day fishing or just walk out and watch the waves at night.  A nice advantage is the free parking lots and shower facilities for washing off the sand at the end of the day.

Monthly rentals available September 1st through May 31st for $1250.00 per month.

All rentals are subject to 6.75% North Carolina and 6% Sunset Beach accommodation fee.

Departure cleaning fee $65

Refundable security/key deposit of $100 is required.

Security deposit will be mailed to you within seven days of your vacating the unit provided the unit is left in satisfactory condition.

One half of rent (Reservation fee) is due at time of reservation.  The balance of the rent due, cleaning fee, applicable sales tax and security deposit are due 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival date will be charged 10% of the total rental fee.  Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival date will result in loss of reservation fee.

Until confirmed, all rates are subject to change.

Rentals for less than seven days are welcome, based on our daily rate of $125.00 plus applicable taxes, security deposit and cleaning fee. 

We offer a 10% rate discount for seniors 62 years of age or older on all stays.
