Spacious house close to all attractions in South Lake Tahoe

I have been renting this place for last two years on a regular basis for my small ski group. It has met all my expectation. It is located at very convenient place. The Heavenly ski bus literally stops right in front of the house.

It has four bedrooms with plenty of blankets, sleeping pad,etc.

It is not huge place nor it may not have hot tub, etc, but for the very reasonable rental rate and inexpensive cleaning fee, you can't beat this deal.

I am fortunate to find this place and will be renting place in years to come.

I needed to contact the owner via email or phone on several occasions and the they have been exceptionally nice and accommodating.

Yuck!

What can I say - not a pleasant place. On a very busy road - traffic at all hours. As for the inside, it was extremely dirty. Badly stained carpet throughout, stained upholstery - place a towel on the dining chairs before sitting down, kitchen stove in need of repair or replacement and very dirty, air vents, especially near stairs blackened with grease and dust. Previous renters left behind their used personal hygiene supplies in bathrooms and open and unopen food in kitchen cupboards leaving little space, clean or otherwise for storage. Smoke detector downstairs non-functioning. Blinds throughout very dusty as well as curtains. Closets filled with junk. It could be a cute house but the decor is sad and outdated. Black marks on stark white walls, nails where pictures used to hang, a plethora of dusty artificial flowers and wine bottles above kitchen cabinets, a mixture of old mismatched furniture (furniture too massive for the small combination dining and living room), etc.. Back yard is almost useless, no patio, tables or chairs to enjoy the outdoors; sitting on the front porch all you will enjoy is the noise of traffic. And worst of all it is impossible to air out the place the windows are locked shut. The best I can say is that the owner or rental manager was generous in returning our rental fee absent cleaning fee, although we cleaned anything we would touch or need before using - I would suggest future renters do the same. Before I rent in Tahoe again I will check out the accomodations with more care.

Great place at a great price.

My family and I rented this place for the week and we loved it! We were close to the lake, and state line and supermarket. The rooms were tidy and clean with plenty of sheets and towels. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room was spacious and comfy. We also noticed the ants living in the front yard but we never saw any inside the house. My grandmother cannot climb too many steps, so the down stairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for her. All in all, a great place to spend a weekend or week long vacation relaxing and enjoying S. Lake Tahoe.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car
