vacation rental description
This lovely Victorian home has been totally renovated, yet maintains its classic charm. The large kitchen is new, fully furnished with anything you'll need to prepare meals. There are three baths in all, one on every floor.
The house has central air conditioning and heat, with a screened porch off the kitchen for outside dining, in addition to the front screened porch with a view of the undeveloped protected marshlands across the street. Great for bird watching or just relaxing.
For sleeping accommodations, the second floor has two queen bedrooms and a den with daybed for sleeping, reading, watching TV or playing games. The master bedroom suite is on the third floor with a king sized bed and full bath of its own.
You will arrive to find the beds freshly made and clean towels out for your use. Wi-Fi internet and two flat panel TVs with cable and DVD players will keep the whole family happy.
Situated on a quiet end of town, close to a community boat launch and a great seafood vendor, both within walking distance. A short jaunt to Maddox Boulevard, 1 of 2 main concentrations of eateries, taverns and shopping. The street has bike paths, and it's easy and quick to bike to Assateague preserve and beach. There is also a scenic walking/biking trail just minutes from the home. A nice yard for the kids to play, private off street parking; outfitted for your every vacation need.
Chincoteague Island and its close neighbor Assateague Island National Park were voted best beach for wildlife by Travel and Leisure Magazine. A top pick for bird watching, fishing, pristine beaching, and of course the famous wild ponies, this resort is paradise. The town and beach are family oriented, with wonderful dining establishments, small amusement parks, boat trips, quaint shopping areas, and plenty more for all to do.
The town remains a working fishing village with an active fishing boat fleet, reflected by the fresh local seafood served on the island. The town has a long history, reflected by local sites like a decoy museum, an Oyster Museum, the Assateague Lighthouse, and the wildlife
tourism center within the national park.
Other unique towns are an easy day excursion away, and include the Ocean City Boardwalk, Tangier Island, Cape Charles, Onnacock and some of the other Cheasapeake and Atlantic towns reflecting the great historical heritage of an area first settled in the early 17th Century.
Come experience this unique land and people. Once will not be enough!
