Property located on Grindstone Island, 4 miles by boat to Clayton and from Gananoque, Ontario, in the middle of the St Lawrence River. Beautiful home right on the water, large beams, windows, views, decks in all directions. All modern. Boathouse and docks for boats with 4-8 feet of water. Swim float 30' from shore, great swimming. Protected harbor, secluded bay on head of Grindstone in Buck Bay facing Wolfe Island.

activities and attractions in Grindstone Island Thousand Islands
Grindstone is a beautiful unspoiled island 6 miles long and 3 miles wide. There are wonderful dirt roads for biking, hiking,and running. The water is clear and fresh and there are many beaches around the head of the island perfect for swimming. We have a swimming float 30' off shore as well as docks for swimming in Buck Bay. Water sports abound with sailing, kyacking and snorkeling. We provide a 8' rowboat for paddling around the bay.
vacation rental rates
Rentals run weekly only, from Sunday to Sunday. Check in is after 3 on Sunday and check out is by 11 the following Sunday. Deposit of $850/week upon reservation balance sent 2 weeks in advance. There is no cleaning fee so it is expected the property is left as clean as it is found. All trash must be taken by renter to Clayton and you must bring your own drinking water. The location is only accessible by boat so you must own or rent a boat big enough to take the periodic rough seas of the St. Lawrence. Boats can be rented at Clayton Marina.
