7759 East Side Drive. Quaint Chincoteague cottage overlooking Assateague Island. Wonderful views of the Assateague Lighthouse and Assateague Channel. Great birdwatching site from enclosed front porch. Easy walk to town park with a great playground for children, no-license fishing, and a picnic pavillion. Very short drive to town boat launching ramps. Boat, kayak, and canoe rentals right down the street for fishing, watersking, sightseeing, or gliding through the channels of the marsh. 3/4 mile to Pony swim site.

One bedroom up, one down and nice bath with shower (no tub)on main level. One queen bed, two twin beds, and a queen size sofa bed. Waterview enclosed porch, all new wide-opening windows for catching sea breezes, rocking chairs for birding, watching a sunrise, or viewing the lighthouse in the evening, table for porch dining.
Large eat-in kitchen, fully stocked, including large refrigerator, icemaker, toaster oven, coffeemaker, microwave,an assortment of pots and pans. Washer, dryer, clothes line, air conditioning. Large tv with satellite service, DVD player, and VCR. Wireless internet. Charcoal grill. Books, board games, movies and children's DVDs and tapes.
Carl and Lee, the owners, live next door and will gladly answer questions or give suggestions and recommendations.

Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and Assateague National Seashore are a 5-minute drive or a twenty minute bike ride from Aunt Nelda's cottage. View the wild ponies, walk or bike the trails, sun bathe or go shelling on the beach. The 3.2 mile Wildlife Loop Trail is open for driving from 3 p.m. until dusk. Bus tours are available at the Refuge Visitor Center. The Assateague Lighthouse is open for climbing spring through fall (9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.).
Other activities on Chincoteague include fishing charters, kayak rentals, scenic boat cruises, scooter and bike rentals, minature golf, arcades, go-carts, and world-famous homemade ice cream. Excellent restaurants.

In-season ( June 22- August 22, 2013 ) $700/week (7-day rentals only, Memorial Day through Labor Day)
The above rates do not include a security deposit of $200, cleaning fee of $60.00, and taxes of 10%. (Saturday to Saturday rentals only Memorial Day through Labor Day.)
