Close by are the amazing beaches of Captiva, Sanibel Island and the Gulf coast of Mexico. The complex also has its own fitness centre, large salt water pool and sundeck. We are approx. 30 minutes to/from Southwest Florida International Airport.

This Porto Condo is a FIND !

I am a single woman and safety is really important to me. Porto Vista is very safe ! The owner is wonderful, thorough and easy to work with!! She sent a "Welcome Packette" to me before my arrival. It included keys to the building and the unit. When I arrived I found a second set of color coded keys along with a Porto Visto gate opener and informational binder about Cape Coral. I relaxed immediately and felt welcomed and safe !
The unit was spotless with all the supplies I could possibly need. Appliances are very easy to use. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The sheets are 400 threads per inch--SO very soft and inviting. There are plenty of towels in all sizes including beach towels. My bedroom and bathroom are huge with professional window and bedding treatments. The condo is EXACTLY like the photos. The second bedroom is decorated just as nicely. Its bathroom includes a powerful and refreshing shower and tub. The livingroom, diningroom and kitchen are open and spacious with comfy and well coordinated furniture. Fabulous !
The first floor entry allows easy access to the pool, clubhouse, exercise room and parking lot-plenty of room to park your car. The pool has lots of chairs and tables and people keep it clean and return the chairs and lounges to their original places at the end of the day.
The people are SO friendly and helpful. For example, my next door neighbor helped me with my laptop computer so I could access wi-fi. At the pool the people are eager to help with information. They told me details like: where to park at a Sanibel beach and a restaurant that has enormous muffins (Mimi's). There are people talking,laughting and everybody was there to enjoy themselves. It seems to me that there are very few units available for rent. Most condo owners had rented and then bought their units because this is a very desireable complex.
The location is wonderful. There is everything from a new Publix to gas stations to nail salons etc. A fantastic restaurant "The Lobster Lady" serves fresh everything, its reviewa are excellent and it is only a block away ! There are high end shops and restaurants at the marina and in downtown Cape Coral (Brew Babies). There are many fun, family restaurants like Rib City.
It is a pleasure to enter this beautifully landscaped and well maintained Porto Visto Complex. The people are happy, pool is awesome,location is great! I VERY HIGHLY recommend renting this unit !

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Heads Up - loved this condo!

My husband and I arrived late in the afternoon from Vancouver to this lovely well appointed condo in a quiet gated community, very safe. The atmosphere was one of relaxation and fun by the pool. Everyone was out enjoying the beautiful Florida weather and we couldn't wait to join them.

Our condo was on the first floor which made it easily accessible to our vehicle and the amenities in the complex. What a lovely place to spend our time, it was bright and airy. It had everything supplied. We didn't want for anything. The furnishings were modern and comfortable with a flair for the tropics, very stylish, straight out of a magazine. The condo was well stocked with quality supplies. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious, bedding was silky and soft and fresh. The unit was so clean throughout, I was suitably Impressed.


Since this was our first visit to the Fort Myers area we explored the local neighbourhoods, spent time at the marina nearby with its high end stores and some very nice restaurants (quite reasonable). There was a supermarket close by and fast food/delivery places if you just wanted to veg and eat in without cooking.

We spent time at Sanibel Island with its white sands and sea shells as well as driving south on the coast moseying and exploring the beautiful coast line. This condo was wonderful. We didn't have to pay beach front prices to enjoy the area. We love the coast and beaches for holidays but will often explore the option of being a little inland which usually is quite a bit cheaper. When you are renting a car anyway, or really is a no brainer.

We would love to return and explore more and would definitely book this same unit again. Maybe next year :)
