Cottage at the Withlacoochee Bend in Inverness

As you enter the wooden gates of this home, you will feel as though you have stepped back into Old Florida. Perhaps you feel as though you are in the gingerbread cottage you dreamed of as a child. A feeling of serenity greets you at the gate and embraces you throughout. The home has 4 bedrooms and two baths.  Three of the bedrooms have twin beds (two of them are daybeds with trundles) and one bedroom with a double bed. The bedroom upstairs overlooks the trees and is romantically private. The twins can be made into a king by request. The home is complete with linens, bedding, dishes and internet WIFI alond with basic cable TV.  It is steps away from the public boat ramp at the end of the Withlacoochee River and across the street from  the Soggy Bottom Kayak Tour Company,  specializing in touring the river by boat and kayak rentals.

In addition to the 4 bedrooms, 2 comfortable bathrooms, we have complete laundry facilities which you may use. The home has a/c and heat (you may need it occassionally).  The full kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans and cleaning essentials. There is a barbeque. No smoking please and no pets please!

We are 100 yards from the public boat ramp on the Withlacoochee River; a river drenched in history. Watch the birds on the banks; kayak down the river; fish from the bank or the dock; take a stroll; watch the sunset. We are 6 miles from downtown Inverness with restaurants and art shops and 2 blocks from the Turner Camp Fish Camp; a fun place on the river where many locals frequent for their  famous wings.

Rates are: November - April: $800 week or $3000 month or $250 per day for the entire house (4 bedrooms, 2 baths plus living space and laundry facilities)

This includes electric, water, cable, WIFI and garbage pickup.  There is a $100 cleaning fee for each week or daily rental period.  A refundable security deposit of $500 will be payable prior to keys being released. No pets, please. No Smoking is allowed on the property.

May 1 through October: $700 week/ $2500 month/ $200 per day with a two day minimum.
