Welcome to "Dancing Bear." Come and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the gorgeous Smoky Mountains from this beautifully appointed 2 bedroom plus loft condo at The Summit of Gatlinburg Resort. Watch the mist come up over the mountains from one of your TWO balconies. This top floor unit offers a view of downtown Gatlinburg, the ski slopes at nearby Ober Gatlinburg, and the great Smoky Mountains, including Mount LeConte, the tallest mountain in the eastern United States.
Our condominium has all the comforts of home so you can just relax and enjoy. The condo is a corner unit so it has more light, windows and more views, and is kept very clean, smoke free and pet free.
Our family just purchased this condo in 2009, and it is immaculate. It was previously used just as an owners retreat and looks brand new. Our condo has a great loft with two twin beds as an extra bonus. Kids love to hang out in the loft and play. Our children say it's their own private "tree house". The loft even has a sky light, so the kids can watch the stars come out in bed.
Both the master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom have queen size beds, plus two twin beds in the loft. With the additional sofabed, your home can sleep 8 comfortably. Plenty of room for all to have a most peaceful vacation.
Every room has a ceiling fan, and the 20 foot tall vaulted ceiling in the family room gives your home a spacious alpine feel. Open both balcony doors, and let the mountain breeze fill your home with fresh air. Also being on the top floor, you will not be disturbed by anyone beneath your unit. Bring your laptop, because we now offer WiFi free of charge.
According to an article in 2009 in USA Today, The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is as rich and beautiful as it is free. With 800 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, you will leave all your worries behind, and it doesn't cost a penny! Don't forget to take the family to Ober Gatlinburg, and cool off at the water park in the summer, go skiing and snow tubing in winter, or try your hand at ice skating (yes ice skating) all year round in the indoor pavilion. FUN for everyone of all ages!
In downtown Gatlinburg, there is so much to do - from shopping, mini golf, the Aquarium, and of course, Ripley's Believe It Not. Not to mention all the incredible restaurants, and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge just down the road from Gatlinburg. Whether you curl up by the wood burning fireplace and enjoy a good book, take in the sites in town, or just simply enjoy the BEST VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS YOU HAVE EVER SEEN, you will want to come back to Dancing Bear time and time again.
