vacation rental description
Casa Buena Vista just might be the most outfitted home in Puerto Piramides. We built this home for tourism. This home boasts the best view of the Southern Right Whale basking in the bay of any home in the town. In fact, when you lift your head up from the pillow it is likely you will see the whales jumping. The Valdes peninsula is a mecca for wildlife and is a World Heritage Site regularly filmed by the BBC, National Geographic, and The Discovery Channel among others. The entire peninsula is a national wildlife refuge. Do you remember seeing on the Discovery Channel the killer whales swimming up to shore to feed on seals...it happens here and this is the only place in the world where this behavior is accessible to humans. Our lovely little home is a one bedroom one bath. We have a queen bed and a single with a trundle bed underneath. The kitchen is complete with granite countertops, all cooking utensils, and a custom stainless steel oven.

house rental amenities
In this part of the world there are few amenities. Let me tempt you...there is no phone, no hot tub, and no washer and dryer. However, there is ample heat and air conditioning. It does get cold here but it rarely gets hot. In town there is a kiosk for telephone/internet, someone is always available to do your laundry, and the house has the hottest shower you can imagine. Everything you can possibly need is within walking distance. The town is tiny, tiny. Our next door neighbor, Vivian, handles all the rentals and the needs of the renters and she is at your beck and call. Vivian provides wireless internet from her home to ours.
activities and attractions in Puerto Piramides Argentina
What Puerto Piramides and the Valdes Peninsula has in an inumerable amount of activities. You can experience some of the most amazing diving (day or night) with the natural fauna that abounds here. If you are into mountain biking you will love Piramides. Choose short trips of up to a few miles through the desert and along the coast for the novice or for the semi professional there are grueling trips of up to 50 miles. Rent a sandboard and go sandboarding. Naturally, whale watching is one of the biggest attractions this area has. Due to the special geography of the area the Southern Right Whale has chosen these waters for their annual respite from the frigid Antarctic winter. Each year they arrive in mass to have their babies and mate before returning south. During this period, which, incidentally, coincides with the North American Summer, they can be seen dancing on the waters. Even Lady Diana enjoyed her trip here to see the whales! If you enjoy bird watching then watchout because your life list may just increase by 50% here. Some of the most common of the 181 endemic species are Giant Petrels, Kelp and Dolphin Gulls, King and Rock Cormorants, Burrowing Parrot, Patagonian Yellow-finch, Grey-bellied Shrike-tyrant, Rusty-backed Monjita, Patagonian Canastero, Band-tailed Eremobius, White-throated Cacholote, Chubut Steamer-Duck, Blackish Oystercatcher, Dolphin Gull, and of course Magellanic Penguins. Take a trip down to Punto Tombo and check out the largest colony of Magellanic Penguins which at times may reach 3 million strong. some of the most common animals seen here on the peninsula are Guanacos, Rheas, Armadillos, Southern Elephant Seal, Sea Lions, Commerson's Dolphins, Killer Whale (Orca), Mara (Patagonian hare), Foxes, and Skunks.
