Waterview Cottage in Deal Island

Come and enjoy spectacular sunsets and water views at the little
cottage in the woods. This is the perfect home for a peaceful get
away. There is so much to do or not do!!!

Make a feast at the Fisherman's cottage with a view!!! This is a great little spot located in Deal Island. About a three minute walk down the lane from the house is a shared pier where my brother has caught rock fish as large as 33 inches!!! This cottage is the perfect get away for anyone interested in fishing, crabbing, kayaking, bird watching or just spending some a quiet time with nature. Into kayaking??? Bring it along because the intricate water ways are an amazing journey to travel through on a kayak. You can even circum navigate the island. There are several places near by to glide along and watch the egrets wading in the water. There is also a boat ramp just around the corner where you can take your own boat out. Or go on a charter with the local fisherman-a real treat you won't find anywhere else.
Or do you want to just catch some rays on the beach? Just a half a
mile up the road is the public beach where you can sit and relax or go on a treasure hunt for sea glass!

Come for a free tour of a real live crab house or crab shanty. See how hard crabs become soft crabs and where it all happens. You can learn all about the life cyle of the Chesapeake Blue Crab and how they are caught. As the owner of the cottage works on the water, crabbing. She can show you how to clean a soft crab or pick a hard crab in a jiffy.

Where do we sleep???
We have set up the bedrooms to sleep seven guests. One bedroom has a
double bed. And the other bedroom has a bunk bed, with the top bunk as
a twin and the bottom bunk as a double. We also have a full sized futon in the living room. This futon has a high grade futon mattress and is very comfortable. It's a great set up for a group of friends or for a family who wants to enjoy kayaking and teaching their children how to fish. Either way, you are bound to have a good time.
