Puma Hills River Ranch in Lake George

Puma Hills River Ranch is a 3rd generation working ranch bordered by Pike National Forest located in the peaceful Tarryall Valley.  Our modern ranch house is nestled in the Puma Hills overlooking the Tarryall River.  Our ranch surrounds 2.4 miles of the Tarryall River, an great place for fly fishing. If your a hunter, we offer self guided elk and deer hunting packages with landowner vouchers for most seasons. On occasion, a herd of elk or deer and a small group of big horn sheep graze the meadow below and the riparian areas along the river provide shelter to many species of birds. Our location is secluded and private, yet within 10 miles of necessities.    Come and experience your own private paradise!  Bring your family for an unforgettable vacation, bring your horse and ride the beautiful trails or spend your honeymoon under the stars!   We are in the process of creating a place for group functions, such as meetings, parties, retreats ect.                                                  

Open year round, our ranch house is clean and private. The house is equipped with a modern kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, blender etc...), gas fireplace, 2 bedrooms (2 pillowtop queen beds, bunk bed with a double below, and a twin bed),  2 bathrooms (1 with a bathtub),  a laundry room and a 2 car garage.  From the living room is a view of the river, hay meadows and mountains through the large picture window.  Equipped with outdoor furniture, picnic tables and a grill, the patio is a popular spot!  We also provide a firepit for roasting marshmallows, telling tall tales and warming your toes while watching the stars.

At the ranch house, you can enjoy private fly fishing on 2.4 miles of the Tarryall River, as well as hiking, biking, tubing, and more.  During the hunting seasons, we offer self-guided elk and mule deer hunting packages with landowner vouchers.  Horseback riding in the Lost Creek Wilderness is only a few minutes away, or if you like to enjoy the sites from a vehicle, travel along the Tarryall Road for incredible views of the Tarryall mountains and wildlife.   Minutes from the ranch house you can enjoy gold medal water fishing in Eleven Mile Canyon,  or "Dream Stream" fishing between Eleven Mile State Park and Spinney Mountain Reservoir.
