Big Bear Cabin is located in the Bear Den community directly off of the Blue Ridge Parkway between mile markers 324 and 325 and is roughly half way between Linville Falls and Little Switzerland. Big Bear Cabin is very secluded and sits at an elevation of 3000+ feet above sea level within the Pisgah National Forest. The cabin is conveniently located close to many local attractions and offers short and long range mountain views. Don't feel like getting in the car to go find a hike or waterfall? No problem... It is a short walk from Big Bear Cabin to several really great hiking trails that lead directly to a beautiful waterfall inside the Pisgah National Forest. Big Bear Cabin is located within one of the very few communities (i.e. Bear Den) located directly off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Make sure to check out the mountain views and millions of stars at night from the Hot Springs hot tub on the large front porch.

There is a very large front porch on Big Bear Cabin which directly overlooks Humpback Mountain. On clear days, there are also really amazing long range views that can be seen out of the dining room windows or while sitting on the left side of the front porch. To give you an idea of how large the front porch is, it is roughly 480 square feet in size. The hot tub is a large 4 person Hot Springs brand hot tub (i.e. the best hot tub brand in the world) and sits on the front porch overlooking Humpback Mountain. It is a one-of-a-kind experience relaxing in it at night with the outside porch lights turned off, looking up at the millions of stars in the sky. The master bedroom in Big Bear Cabin has its own bathroom and walk-in closet. The kitchen features an inviting island with bar stools and a log dining table that sits under a large antler chandelier.
