apartment rental amenities

The Building rises 100 m from the Arsenal Museum  and 500 m from Saint Mark's Square in the wealthiest  and lively historical centre area of Venice, full of fashion local stores, art galleries and some of the most famous restaurants of the city. It was built in 1512 by the count Verner di Dolo, one of the most important merchants of the time, who chose this location thanks to its proximity to Saint Mark's Square and to the size of the Arsenal Canal, that permitted the comfortable docking of its ships. At the end of the year 2010, the building was object of a radical renewal on behalf of the internationally famous interior designer Gianluca Pavanato, who was able to renew the beauties of the past in a contemporary key. A finicking work based on two base concepts: to maintain some antique features like the original beams in sight or the Serenissima seals on the stairwell, memory of the time with the high design finish touches like the floors in valuable woods, the excellent pieces of furniture and the most modern comforts.

Indeed, every apartment is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-fi internet, dishwasher, microwave oven, etc..

Saint Mark project

75 sq.m apartment, totally furnished with design pieces of furniture, modern paintings, refined lighting, wide and luminous windows all overlooking an evocative Venice small square. The additional comforts in the apartment are LCD 32-inch monitor satellite television, free internet Wi-fi in the whole apartment, washing machine, ironing board and flatiron, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, air conditioning in the whole apartment and, upon request, cradle for children.

activities and attractions in Venice Veneto

The Building is sited in the heart of Venice, 100 m from the Arsenal Museum, a museum where there is the history of the navy of the Serenissima. On foot and in only 5 minutes, you can reach Saint Mark’s Square and its famous Doge’s Palace, walking along Riva degli Schiavoni, that represents the most beautiful and fascinating walk in Venice among buildings of the XVII century on your right and the fascination of the Saint Mark's Basin on the left, particularly magic and romantic under the first lights of dusk.

For the fashion lovers, close by there is Calle XXII Marzo, better known as the fashion street, where there are Gucci, D&G, Valentino stores, etc.

In the nearby do not forget the various restaurants and bars where you can taste the typical venetian or international kitchen.

The closest ferry stop is Arsenale, from where, without passing any bridge, you can reach the Building.

Rialto 2

Monkland43 (montreal, quebec, canada h4a 2j9)
Review submitted: September 20, 2010   Date of arrival: September 8, 2010

My wife and I accompanied by two of our adult daughters stayed in Rialto 2 for 4 days. Rialto apartments are ina neighborhood not a touristy area and its location forces you to get to know how Venetians live on a day-to-day basis although the bright lights and crowds are only minutes away either by vaporetto or on foot: a great way to see and know Venice. The apartment is a recently renovated one, clean, well appointed with new appliances including a dishwasher, a great stove, but oddly no oven, very comfortable beds including a leather pull out in the living room that turns into a great bed. It is on the second floor, no elevator but a small clever lift for luggage that worked really well. The bathroom was great and well equipped with a great shower and ventilated! It's a 7 minute walk from the San Toma vaporetto stop over three small bridges (do not bring heavy suitcases to Venice), not bad for Venice and 10 minutes away from the train station once you figure out how not to get lost. Two minutes from the Frari church and a lively shopping street behind it, the neighborhood is very quiet. There is a communal washing machine and dryer on the first floor but it was on the fritz while we were there. It's a great apartment but it would help if there were more written directions posted in the apartment. Guests from all over the world do not necessarily know how Italian appliances work. A map of the neighborhood would e a great help with advice on where to buy necessities nearby, the best route to the train station, how not to get lost getting back to the vaporetto stop and a few basic starter things like sugar, dish washing soap and other items one needs to go out to buy after a long trip to Venice. The design is impressive but some of the walls are paper thin (between Rialto 2 and 3) and some sound insulation would help. The same applies to the ceiling which, seems to be under another apartment which has a wooden floor unlike Rialto 2,3,4, and 5. We enjoyed our stay but would hesitate to rent again unless some improvements were made.
