Huge 3 bedroom, 3 full bath chalet with hot tub on private deck with
awesome views, and pool table in Chalet Village. Also has access to indoor pool.
The chalet has plenty of room, new mega touch game system, and great views of the
mountains.
Washer/dryer, 5 tv/dvd's (in all bedrooms), full kitchen, and gas
fireplace.
Family pass to swimming pools, exercise rooms, game rooms, and
tennis courts at all Chalet Village Club houses. We own two more
propeties - 2 bedroom condo and 2 bedroom log cabin.

I am writing this in defense of this property. I read the review that was on this wonderful rental and was appalled by the people who wrote it. Cindy was a great host, and had all the answers I needed, even talking me in when the travel club gave me the wrong directions. Yes it was a little steep getting to it but we did not have 4 wheel drive and had no problems. The rental was clean, and there is no smoking allowed in the house, so there was no odor. It was very clean and looked even better than the photos. WE are looking forward to a repeat visit if it is available this September, and have recommended it to very dear friends! There was so much to do in the area and we had a great relaxing vacation. I believe we were guest in 2008, but the calendar would not let me go back that far. I would recommend this property to anyone that asks with no hesitation! Cindy YOU ROCK, and so does Bearway!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Do Not waste your money

Do not believe the ad for this place. No not waste your money for this place if you do not own a 4-wheel drive. You have to go up the mountain about 6 miles, and when I say UP the mountain, I mean up. It is a very hard drive on your car. It also smelled like you are sitting in a big ashtray and I even smoke and could smell it. We got there on a Friday, and they were calling for up to 6 inches of snow by Sat. morning. We were afraid that if we stayed up there, we would not be able to get back down. So we had to come back down to town and spend money again for a place to stay. When I contacted Cindy by email on how our trip went, she did not even respond. We were just out the money and had a very bad trip because of. Since we had to spen money for another place, we had very little money left for our trip. I would not recomend this place for anyone, nor would I recomend anything they offer.

Owners response: This is not true. Our chalet is only 3 miles from Gatlinburg (going from light #10 in town). When it snows six inches in Gatlinburg, no one would be able to drive on the roads until the snow plows come. Our chalet is only half way up the mountain. Gatlinburg is known for the mountains and everyone that rents wants to stay up in the mountains. I am not sure what these guests were wanting, but we are as advertised. She has stayed with us before and if we were that bad, why would she have come back? We have owned and rented out properties in Gatlinburg for years. If you look at other reviews (for this and our other properties) they have all been positive.
