The central location of this house is nothing but perfect. This light-filled, beautifully appointed and comfortable cottage is perfect for those who wish to be out of the congestion of town, but within easy access of everything on Mount Desert Island.
It is only 10 minutes to the entrance to Acadia National Park, home of Cadillac Mountain as well as lakes, mountains, beaches, 45 miles of Carriage Roads to bike or stroll and a 130-mile network of hiking trails.
The cottage is only 15 minutes from the center of town where you can access all the shops and restaurants of Bar Harbor, as well as a free shuttle bus that travels around greater Mount Desert Island and through Acadia National Park. The cottage is 20 minutes from Kebo Valley 18 Hole Golf Course.
This cottage is simplicity itself, nestled in a bucolic three and a half acre setting teaming with pine, oak, birch and maple trees. It is ideal for couples, a small family or a romantic honeymoon. The first level is basically a large living/dining/kitchen/sleep combination. An upstairs alcove provides a quiet reading area or a place to enjoy your favorite board games! The cottage is surrounded by pines where you can swing on a hammock, relax and have a barbeque after your day in the park or enjoy lobster dinners on a picnic table in a wooded setting.
