The Lake House in Gainesville

The Lake House is a great getaway for the family and is located in North Central Florida. The house is clean and comfortable and offers something for every season. If you wish a quite escape for a few or a celebration with a large family, this is the place for you. 

The house has been renovated and is clean and comfortable.

2 Bedrooms have queen beds and 1 has two single beds. There is also a very comfortable futon available in the livingroom if needed.

The neighborhood is extremely peaceful and the area abounds with wildlife.

Swimming......Sandy bottom lake great for swimming (April-November)

Grandin Lake is a great lake for Boating, Skiing and Jet Skiing

Fishing......Largemouth, Catfish, Crappie and bluegill are my favorites to catch

Canoeing.....2 canoes available for your use

Bird Watching....Family of Bald Eagles, Owls, Quail, Hawks and every type of smaller bird you can imagine. A Great retreat for the bird watching enthusiast.

Star Gazing...Granted it is a clear night, we have an unbelievable view of the night  sky. Since we are located away from the bright lights of most major cities, our view is incredible. So, grab the family, lay out some blankets on the ground and share some time together star gazing.

River Activities.....Florida's largest river, The St. John's River is located 20 minutes away. Fishing Charters and River Tours are only a few of the activities available year around. The Lake House is perfectly situated for Bass Fisherman participating in local tournaments (Bass Masters and others) in Palatka. Rodman Resevoir is only a 15 minute drive away and offers some of the best largemouth fishing in the world.

Springs.....There are dozens of natural springs located within 1 hour with perfectly clear water and beautiful walking trails.

Dirt Bike and hiking....The Ocala National Forest is also located within 30 minutes of The Lake House and offfers some of the best dirt bike riding in the state. Motorcross, ATV's owners and hikers will love the seclusion and the endless miles of trails.

Hunters.....The Ocala National Forest also offers Hunting for those interested.
