we thought the condo was beautiful & hate to complain. We just felt the cleaners could of taken more time on cleaning the unit. Not the owners fault & as we said we loved the place! We have stayed at Ocean Reef before and the room was very very clean at check in. I understand it's a busy place over a holiday week... But as a guest we overheard cleaners complaining about cleaning so many units and not looking forward to starting the day. On the day of check out after waiting 40 min for an elevator my wife & 3 kids took the stairs with bags & suitcases down 19 floors, the elevators were very slow. Again not an owner problem at all. Just a few things we did not experience last time we stayed here. We trust tawyna with our past & prev vacations & she is always in contact with us & very professional. In no way do we want to make future guests turn away from this beautiful condo! We understand we stayed at a very busy time & things are of course going to be different then the prev visit. The place was amazing & we felt very safe with the wonderful security. We liked how we could let the kids walk around and not worry about loud, wild teenagers. A very quiet nice spot. Had an amazing view of fireworks at both piers! And loved the parking area! Thank you so much for a wonderful memory we will never forget!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway

Relaxing beautiful condo with great view

Our overall experience of this condo was very positive - the furnishings are quite tasteful and give a quality high-end feel - pretty ceramic tile floors, granite countertops, window treatments, leather couch, nice thick bath towels and comfy satiny sheets. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed, even wine glasses and pots in almost every size. It is a coded entrance and it was nice not to worry about who had the key. Our FAVORITE part by far was the balcony - so big with 4 cushioned lounge chairs and table with 4 chairs for eating or games. We watched the waves, people and had daily manta ray sightings, with one manatee very close to shore! Eating by candlelight on the balcony (brought our own) was so pretty and memorable.
The beach chairs you can reserve for the week by letting the attendant know when youll be there. They were very nice and the shade was adjustable by moving the umbrellas which the attendant did for us when needed. The beach is super clean and family oriented and the water a beautiful aqua, and very warm at this time of year.
We had excellent pizza at Salvatore's across the street, about a 2 block walk. Also took several trips to Pier Park. There are oodles of restaurants, boutique and beach shops, department stores, even a small amusement area with zip line, ferris wheel and more.
A few suggestions - the pullout couch was not comfortable, so 1of our party of 5 slept in it closed or on a cot we brought. He didn't mind but some might. We would have appreciated a guidebook or SOME literature about the area as there is no office or lobby to speak of. I would also suggest they stagger check-in - after driving 13 hours we were so excited to get into the unit - but so was everyone else checking in at 4:00 on a Saturday. One if the 3 elevators was out of order and we waited almost an hour in a steamy un-air conditioned waiting area for an elevator. Our party would not all fit at once so we squished on as we were able with other hot frustrated guests. Unfortunately, when we arrived upstairs the counters, table and floors still felt gritty with sand from the folks before us. A call to Tanya had the cleaning staff there to redo it but all that amounted to us not in our unit until after 5:30. A later checkin would be preferable to the awful wait for the elevators. We left hours before checkout to avoid the same problem on our departure. OVERALL though, we had an amazing time and really enjoyed our time here.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Thought it wound be cleaner and elevator b faster

We liked the stay and place but this room was dirty like from not getting cleaned good the stove and counters was sticky and food on it the tubs was clogged would not drain u could just tell the cleaners didn't spend much time cleaning and there was couple things broke a door shelf for fridgerator and in bathroom soap dispenser was under counter rusted and gross mirrors had spots on them from past guess it wAs a nice room just a few things anx needs a cpl more pans for cooking cant cook with 1 pan

Owners response: We take great pride in the services provided and are very proud of this unit. We believe that the other reviews below will mitigate this review. This review came as a bit of a surprise because we never heard from the guest that there was any dissatisfaction after they checked in. Because we are located in Panama City Beach, we would have been more than happy to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve any issues that we do not know about.

We also note that the customer was not satisfied because we could not accomodate an early check-in.
