Charming, Victorian Cottage with Spectacular River view!! in Wellesley Island

Strough Cottage rental is suitable for adults and includes a private dock with protective harbor for a boat of 21 feet or less.  There are several launches and boat rentals in the area.  Wellesley Island NY State Park, Clayton, Alexandria Bay and Fishers Landing. It is accessible by car (with parking) and boat.  The main bedroom with queen bed has an open sitting porch with panoramic view. The blue room with double bed has two window views of the River. The back room with double bed has a view of the garden. 

It is a substantial house with 7 rooms and 2 porches, windowed and screened, light and airy.  The L-shaped dock makes a great harbor and very good swimming.  Gardens surround the cottage.  General amenities: basic soaps, hair dryer, alarm clock.  TV, VCR, DVD, CD Stereo system. Kitchen has microwave, blender, stove top and oven, cooking utensils, refrigerator, spices, coffee grinder, lobster pot, coffee maker, toaster oven, iron and board.  There is an outdoor gas grill and garden furniture.

Strough Cottage is located on Wellesley Island just a beautiful half mile walk from Thousand Island Park, a historical landmark with Victorian gingerbread cottages.  The Wellesley Hotel has boutiques and a good restaurant with outdoor porch seating overlooking the village green and the St. Lawrence River.  There is a grocery store, post office, barber shop, antique store, museum and an Ice Cream and light fare food shop as American as apple pie!

Strough Cottage is available June, July and August.   The rate is $7,000 a month.   The weekly rate is $1,850 per week.
