Beyond Our Expectations

JG Family (Castle Pines, CO, US)
Review submitted: April 12, 2013   Date of arrival: March 20, 2013

Our adventure to Costa Rica began with Fernan picking us up from the San Jose airport. Our family has never been out of the United States and we were a bit intimidated with arriving in a new country. Fernan put us at ease right away and the trip to Casa Brisas was wonderful. Upon arriving to the house we were exhausted and hungry and were very happy to find a fantastic meal made by Magolly, Randy's housekeeper. Our reception was warm and we were so excited to see what a beautiful house we were getting to stay in. Our three kids jumped right into the pool and happily played. We slept great and woke to the most beautiful sunrise and view, it was breathtaking. We stayed for a week and did so many amazing things like ziplining and jetskiing in the ocean. One of the main reasons we picked Casa Brisas was our interest in seeing how people lived in Costa Rica.....we were not disappointed. Randy showed us the town of Parrita where we ate amazing food and saw for ourselves real life there. Going to Manuel Antonio Park, visiting Quepos and Jaco were great times, but our favorite times were when we went to places like Esterillos Beach, the town of Parrita and Parrita Beach. We played in the ocean, ate at Tico's Restaurant (You have to go there, amazing food and beautiful open air restaurant). Randy perfectly balanced being our concierge with allowing us our privacy. We loved the laid back feel of our trip while still enjoying many fun excursions. This vacation exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to get back!

Absolute Paradise

Bill (Lake Wales)
Review submitted: February 24, 2013   Date of arrival: February 7, 2013

Wow........where do we begin. My wife and I cannot say enough about this beautiful piece of Paradise that Randy and his wife have put together. From the time Randy picked us up at the airport he was the most accommodating person we have met in a long time. Everthing that is depicted in their add for this rental are exactley as discribed and more. I must say as we climbed the mountain road that first night in the dark to get to Casa Brisas with jungle all around, I asked myself, what the hell has my wife gotten us into. When we did arrive at the two hugh teak doors for the entrance to the Casa Brisas, that was the beginning of a very memorable experience to the point that we did not want to leave after 7 days. It is a must see getaway.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Owners response: Bill,
Thank you so much for bringing your wife and friends down here so I could show you a little piece of our paradise that we call home. Keep in touch and let us know when you're ready to come back. We'll get you all hooked up.
Pura Vida!

Christmas in Paradise

Buckshot Jake (Arvada, Colorado)
Review submitted: February 11, 2013   Date of arrival: December 23, 2012

Casa Brisas is exactly as advertised. The house is situated on a mountain hilltop high above the town of Parrita, Costa Rica. This plot overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by lush jungles on every side. It is a newer model house that has all the amenities you can expect from a modern home including: washer and dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, air-conditioning, and wireless internet. The infinity pool is set to the side of the house out from the kitchen. It has lights for night swimming and a waterfall for circulation. Randy and Claudia do an amazing job with upkeep and hire locals from the hilltop village to clean as well as assist in other matters that may arise at the Casa. Randy provides any assistance you may need in navigating this region of Costa Rica and serves as either a full service guide for your stay or will leave and stay in town for a more private experience. The couple is very flexible and will work to ensure your stay in Costa Rica is flawless.

Vacation musts:

- Head down the road to Sky Mountain for THE MOST incredible zip-line tour in Costa Rica.
- Visit Manual Antonio National Park for a guided tour through one of the most majestic regions in the world. The tour guides actually go to school for several years in order to attain their certification and are courteous and respectful.
- Spend a couple days at Esterillos Oeste Beach. One of my biggest disappointments about this trip was not getting enough beach days in. The surf here is top notch and rentals are cheap, surf's up!
- Hike to one of the many waterfalls hidden in the surrounding jungles. Wear boots, watch out for pit vipers :)
- The local food is incredible, do not settle on one place or one meal, try it all!
- Imperial, Pilsen, Bamboo, and Cuba Libre
- Drive by the crocodile bridge located past Jaco.
- Try to see a volcano, leave early because the cloud cover comes fast.

Costa Rica is one of the greatest places on earth hands down, enjoy as much of it as you can!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: Jake,
Thanks for coming down with your family. When you're ready to come back down I'll make sure and have a few cold one's on ice and a few more great local restaurants for you to try out.
Pura Vida!
Randy and Claudia
