Relaxing Vacation in Montauk

Came from NJ for a wedding and decided to stay in Montauk for the week. The property is as advertised. Clean, airy, nice rooms. My wife enjoyed cooking and looking at the ocean at the same time. We were able to walk to the beach. I would recommend this property.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway

A Breath of Fresh Air

After an exhausting year, my husband and I, who own a retail store in Manhattan decided to take the kids to the beach for summer vacation. We rented a house in Montauk which was a pure delight. The house had two huge verandahs as well as a roof deck with a panoramic view of the ocean. The house was ideal for entertaining, with its open kitchen and livingroom with fireplace. The master bedroom had its own private bath and fireplace on the second floor. The kids had their own space to listen to music or play games in the sitting area and three bedrooms (and bathroom) on the first floor. Tall pines surround the house and the glass sliders make elegant portraits of the sunsets. The ocean breezes are relaxing and restorative. The house is comfortable and spotless. We walked to the beach, biked to the Lighthouse, shopped in the quaint boutiques and dined on fresh seafood caught daily. The location of the house is private, but convenient to all activities. Although we love NYC, those Montauk sunsets will definitely bring us back to this lovely home again.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Great Beach House

We spent a fantastic week in this lovely house visiting with family. The main floor was ideal for meals with a well equipped kitchen and lots of space for everyone. We especially enjoyed "happy hour" on the roof deck! Great views of the ocean and refreshing breezes. The bedrooms were quite comfortable and it was nice to have access directly to the deck from most of them. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and bike riding to downtown Montauk. Some of our group actually biked to the Montauk lighthouse!

Everything was well maintained and accurately represented on the website. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. We were thrilled that we were permitted to bring our well behaved dog, wouldn't have been the same without him.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway
