Major attractions in and around town: Bethesda church & cemetery, Campbell house galleries, Carthage historical museum, Malcolm blue farm, Pinehurst Harness track, Sandhills horticultural gardens, Shaw house properties, Southern Pines Historic train station, Tufts archives, Weymouth center for the Arts and Humanities, Weymouth woods sandhills nature preserve. A few miles outside of Pinehurst you will find the North Carolina Pottery highway. Only 40 miles to Fort Bragg
