Smiley Haven is 2920 square feet -- perfect for large or multiple families, or anyone who wants privacy, comfort, and spacious conditions in a very peaceful environment for their vacation. Lake Smiley is a small environmental lake that offers great fishing (many 5lb Bass, huge Northerns and 2lb pan fish caught each year), beautiful clean water, and wonderful sandy beaches. Often you might be the only ones on the lake.

You'll have wonderful lake views from the huge 4-season sun-room, open living room and kitchen, and master bedroom – all with tongue-and-groove cedar vaulted ceilings. The master bedroom has a ½ bath, see-through fireplace and patio door to the lake-side deck. The 2nd full bath upstairs includes a jetted tub. The downstairs walk-out has large lake-side windows, separate bedroom, den and living room with pool table and dart board, ¾ bath and laundry facilities (free).

Smiley Haven has 3+ acres of grounds bordered by gorgeous pines, and offers nature at its finest. We always have at least one family of loons, and they are beautiful to watch and listen to. If you're up early you might see deer drinking on the far shore to the west. If you're up late, you might hear coyotes at the pond to the east. Smiley Haven is less then 45 minutes from Brainerd/Baxter, Walker, Nisswa,  30 minutes from Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, and less then 15 minutes from Pine River, Backus, Hackensack, Longville and the Paul Bunyan bike trail which is the longest paved “Rails to Trails” in the nation.  Smiley Haven is located within a few miles of over 20 other great fishing lakes.  The Brainerd/Baxter and Walker lakes area of Minnesota  host most of the chain shopping stores and restaurants in the country and offers a variety of activities such as Championship Golf Courses, Basketball Courts, Bike Rentals, Casino’s, Game Rooms, Gyms, Horseback Riding, Jet Ski-Pontoon-Kayak-Power Boat Rentals, Volleyball Courts, Water Parks, Miniature Golf Parks, Go Kart Tracks, Sailing, Racquetball, Wind Surfing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobile Trails, ATV Trails, Down Hill Skiing, Ice Fishing, and much much more.  Pine River is located half way (45 minutes) between Brainerd/Baxter and Walker, Minnesota.

Reservation Deposits must be received within 10 days from the date you receive your rental agreement. Full Payment for rental is due three (3) weeks prior to the commencement date of your rental. Weekly Rental requires a $600.00 Reservation Deposit. Monthly rental requires a $900.00 Reservation Deposit. Reservation Deposit: In the absence of damage to the House and Property, loss of property or the need for heavy cleaning beyond the normal and expected, your Damage Deposit will be fully and promptly refunded within 14 days from the end of your stay.

Cancellation Policy:
If cancellation is made 60 days or more prior to the beginning of your scheduled stay, your Reservation Deposit will be refunded to you in full less a $200.00 cancellation fee. If the cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to the beginning date of your scheduled stay, the Reservation Deposit will be forfeited, unless the vacancy created by your cancellation is filled in the same capacity as your reservation.

Other Rate Information:
Pet Charges: We permit pets, however they must be leashed or kenneled at all times and must be cleaned up after. Pet charges are $120.00/week/pet - $20.00/day/pet for each day after - $280/month/pet. Portable kennels are available on site if needed – call about exceptions to leash and kennel rule. An outdoor kennel with doghouse is available on site.

$35.00/day or $185.00/week per extra person over five (5) people staying in the home, camping out in tents, or staying in RV’s or Trailers. Children under 12 half price ($17.50/day or $92.50/week)

10% discount for Frequent (more than 1 time a year) and return renters. (only one discount per rental)

Lodging Tax: 6.875% on all rentals

Pontoon Rental Rates: $150/day $950/week

$175 cleaning fee on stays less then 5 days

Camping Charge $5.00/day/Tent PLUS House rental at weekly or monthly rate (No Charge for screen tents for dinning)
