Newly Renovated!  This 5 bedroom/ 3 ½ bath upper cottage has been fully restored to maintain its’ original charm and yet modernized with all the conveniences of new construction such as central heating and air conditioning.  With TWO fully equipped kitchens with new appliances, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers and micro waves, 2 washers and 2 dryers, both floors are designed to function fully independent of each other or combine for the closeness of one family.

This cottage was originally built in 1899 and raised in 1929. Its’ restored heart pine floors are exposed throughout and its’ original beautiful solid wood doors have all been refinished. Enjoy Ocean City’s breezes and listen to the sound of the ocean from the large front porch that runs the full width of the home and is furnished for your comfort.  The new awnings have been installed for added privacy and protection from the sun and rain, so no matter what the weather, your family can enjoy the afternoons and evenings, playing cards, talking or just breathing in the fresh ocean air.

The main floor enters into a well proportioned family room that has been professionally decorated in soft tones of blue and yellow. There is an upholstered vintage rocking chair, a full sized comfortable sofa that can be converted to a queen bed if needed and a writing desk for you to charge your laptop computer and to keep up with your e-mails. There is wireless internet throughout the house and a TV and DVD in the family room.  The full sized dining room is to the left with a very large maple dining table and chairs that will seat everyone.  The new fully equipped kitchen offers a breakfast bar with 4 bar stools and is large and roomy, designed with plenty of workspace for cooking and entertaining.  There is a washer and dryer off the kitchen and a hallway with a half bath leading to the back stairs.  Also 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed and dresser are situated on the main floor with a shared full bath.

The upstairs is accessed through the family room or may also be entered by an outside door should you decide to “lock off” the floors and use them as separate apartments.  The bright and airy, seashore feel is abundant as you enter top floor which has vaulted high ceilings throughout.  Its’ cozy little great room has a 2nd kitchen with its’ own refrigerator, dishwasher, micro wave, and oven.  It too, is fully equipped and there is a separate washer and dryer tucked away for the ultimate convience.  There is a small dining table and a sofa, chair, and flat screen TV and DVD.  The front bedroom is enveloped in windows with blinds and sheers for privacy and light. The bed is queen sized and comfortable with a closet that has plenty of space to the side to store your luggage and belongings. There is a swivel chair, side table and TV. (This room can be CONVERTED to a “sunroom” with a large denim sofa IF you have no need for the 5th bedroom and you give us enough notice to have it changed over for you.) A middle bedroom is perfect for any children in the family. It is furnished with a trundle bed (a twin bed with a pullout twin underneath, that can be used at different levels or the same) and a small chest of drawers and a closet.  The 2 bedrooms share a brand new full bath that has been designed in the old style with a new “ball and claw tub” with showerhead, and all new fixtures. The Master Bedroom Suite is a recent addition and one that is sure to please.  It has a private breezy roof top deck and a well designed bathroom with a separate and enclosed toilet area.  The walk in shower on the left is tiled in tumbled travertine with accents in blue.  The separate bath tub on the right uses the same tile and accents, and affords the luxury of 2 getting ready at the same time.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!!  While every attention to detail has been attended, you cannot change location.  This house is in a PRIME LOCATION, less than 1 block from the First Street Beach and Boardwalk, which is the location of the main Lifeguard Station and Public Restroom Facilities.   ½ block west you can walk to the corner grocery store or one of Ocean City’s finest restaurants, “The Island Grill”. You can hear the ocean  from the porch and master deck (partial ocean view-limited). We are in the “Northend”, just a couple of blocks to the shuffleboard courts, Beach Volleyball, skating park, and “Wonderland” amusement park.

AVAILIBILITY!!!!! AS WE COMPLETED OUR RENOVATION IN 2011, WE ENJOYED A FULL SEASON LAST SUMMER WITH MANY OF OUR GUESTS RETURNING THIS YEAR.  DON'T MISS OUT, BOOK EARLY AND AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!   THE ENTIRE OUTSIDE IS BEING PAINTED, THE STAIR TREDS AND WOOD WORK REPLACED AND REPAIRED AS NEEDED, AND NEW AWNINGS MADE AND INSTALLED. We rent from Saturday to Saturday.  Check in at 2:00 pm.  Check out is 10:00 am.  We live here in Ocean City during the season and rent to families and extended families.  This is a NO Smoking home.  NO pets permitted.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover cards as well as bank checks or personal checks.  A $250.00 deposit is required at the time of booking.
