Beaches

Drakes Island Beach-Go north on route 1 about a mile from the intersection with 109. Take a right onto Drakes Island Road. There is Wells public parking on the left just before you get to the beach. Or go to the end of Drake's Island Road and take a right to the end by the jetty.

Public Paid Parking--The town of Wells provides the following parking lots for beach goers:
1) Mile Road Beach Parking Lot - at the end of Mile Road
2) Eastern Shore Beach Parking Lot - at the end of Atlantic Avenue near Wells Harbor (take a left at the end of Mile Road)
3) Gross Beach Parking Lot - on left side off Drake's Island Road - a short walk to Drake's Island Beach
4) Drake's Island Beach Jetty - at the end of Drake's Island Beach Road take a right to the end

Non Residents may purchase parking passes at the Wells public parking lots.
