This remote property is fronting a quiet ocean inlet. Clean water and tidal flats filled with oysters, solitude and silence are at hand. Cabin is situated at the edge of a garden clearing.

There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a fold out futon couch in the main room, for a total of 4 people to sleep.

For extra people we charge $10/person/night.

Three large friendly Leonberger dogs are living on the property . The owner's gardens and  a quiet 1 man wood kayak shop (only handtools during the season) is across the yard.

Lund and Okeover is a community ahead of its time, with sustainable farming, fishing, alternative healing, such as Yoga and meditation.

The cabin has a glass fronted wood stove, hot water, shower,  full kitchen and solar generated electricity. Linens and towels are provided .

Firewood and propane for range, hotwater and fridge is included.

Tap into our wifi (medium speed) if needed.

Cell phone signal is available, but it is weak.

The is no TV.

Powell River, a town of 18000 is 25min car ride from Cabin. Theaters, gyms, restaurants, museums, galleries, shopping,  golf and various activities, such as hiking forest trails, all watersports, including excellent diving, are available. Powell River has been called "Cultural Capitol of Canada" for its promotion of the arts, such as choral competitions and festivals.

This place is a beautiful, full equipped, roomy, comfortable cabin tucked away in a sweet little spot. The cabin leaves you wanting nothing--it is 20 min from Powell River, 10 min from Lund. There are hikes and walks right from the door of the cabin and a canoe for paddling in beautiful Okkeover inlet... this place is a real diamond in the rough. We can't wait to return.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: It was a delight to have Heather and Adam in our zone. They even came and helped in the kayak shop, considering that part of their adventure.A boat builders dream: friendly people come and do some sanding and ask for shop talk. Come back anytime....

Great Getaway from the Busy City!

This vacation was much needed to take our minds off of our busy lives and live for a few nights as if there were no cares or worries. This cabin getaway fulfilled our expectations and the surroundings exceeded them. The location couldn't be more perfect. It's only steps to the inlet where one can comb the beach, swim, or paddle on the still water. You'll forget that you are a short drive to powell river where people are all over the place (which isn't a bad thing if you need to pick a few items).

Cindy and Jurgen (and their large dogs) are very friendly and easy to talk to. They were more than welcoming and let us in for a much needed morning coffee before we set out.

We would recommend this to anyone looking to get away from it all without having to go too far.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Great place!

This cottage in the woods is an excellent place for people seeking relaxation. Nice, clean, cozy place, the owners are very nice people and their dogs are adorable. We did some hiking and kayaking, the nearby town has a great restaurant and gift shop. We had a great time (my dog had the best time ever), I recommended this cottage to my friends.
