Cancun Beach House in Puerto Morelos

Such an amazing week in Puerto Morelos !

Our week in this wonderful Palapa house went by way too fast!

We were 2 couples in their early thirties, and we enjoyed staying at the house much more than our previous all-inclusive-resorts experiences.

A short walk (around 30 minutes on the beautiful and peaceful beach or 4 minutes in taxi) from downtown Puerto Morelos, the house is big enough to provide both couples intimacy. The common areas are spacious and nicely decorated, the couches are comfy (how nice it is to read peacefully inside when the rain outside lasts for a little longer than expected) and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. The house, the backyard (nice patio for outdoor lunches!) and the second-floor front terrace are spotless and clean and impeccably maintained, as are the bathrooms (the one on the ground floor is very stylish as well, with emerald-green tiles on its floor and walls).

The owners were very helpful in providing us with tips and recommendations about the region and Puerto Morelos, which is the perfect place to relax 'off the touristic beaten path' of the Riviera Maya (Cancun and Playa del Carmen) while still offering all needed commodities (great restaurants, market, excursions, etc)...

Notre semaine de vacances dans cette merveilleuse maison-palapa est passée beaucoup trop vite!
Nous sommes deux couples au début de la trentaine, et nous avons beaucoup plus apprécié habiter dans une maison louée que d'aller dans un resort formule tout-inclus.
Située à une trentaine de minutes de marche du village de Puerto Morelos, la maison est amplement vaste pour assurer une intimité agréable. Les aires communes sont grandes et agréables, les fauteuils sont confortables (parfaits pour lire si jamais la pluie dure longtemps), et les lits sont douillets. La cuisine est toute équipée.

La maison, le terrain (superbe jardin et patio arrière) et la terrasse avant au deuxième étage sont maintenus dans une propreté impeccable, tout comme les salles de bains (celle du rez-de-chaussée a tout un cachet avec ses tuiles vert émeraude).
Les propriétaires ont été généreuses dans leurs conseils et recommandations sur la région et le village de Puerto Morelos, qui est un endroit idéal pour relaxer hors des sentiers battus touristiques de la Riviera Maya tout en offrant les commodités agréables (bons restaurants, épicerie et marché de fruits et légumes, excursions, etc)..
Une maison et un village à découvrir !

the swim of a lifetime...

Colleen & Nora
Kathy (Diving Dog) and boat and crew worked out beautifully. She was
also incredibly generous in helping with within reef
swimming permissions, all manner of things.
Had a massage by Estella yesterday. She was genius.

I do believe the upstairs palapa bedroom is the most
beautiful room I've ever been in.
And my bohemian nephew who has lived in the Brazilian
rain forest, etc, found the outdoor shower his favorite
of all time.

We were in the PERFECT home in your beautiful palapa.
Can't believe how much the town....and your street....have
grown in last decade. La Perota our meal hangout.

Wonderful accomodations and great owners to work with.
From our awesome upper bedroom with 360 degree views of both sunrise over the ocean and sunsets over our private jungle garden.
The authentic Mayan/Mexican flavor of the upper bedroom is never warm, always breezy. The L shaped and spacious upper balcony overlooked the ocean as we followed the sun through the day.
The back, has a beautiful and colorful well kept native-like garden where we would have lunches and entertain our guests.
Inside the lower bedroom,deluxe master bath, kitchen: all totally comfortable dining and lounging.
We felt very secure with our locked gate, totally private yard, and enjoyable outside shower on the upper level.
The kitchen is well stocked and spacious.
The whole environment shows what a great vacation can be, relaxing and enjoyable.
We recommend optional maid service made this a first class experience.
This property is in a quiet neighborhood, yet so close to the ocean.Puerto Morelos is a five minute drive,
Recommend that you follow owners instructions what to bring and to do.
We have travelled to Mexico over 30 years and this was as good as it gets.
We would definitely return to this lovely casa.
