3 Bedroom Cottage on Owasco Lake in Owasco Lake

Welcome to our newly remodeled (finished May 2010) 3 Bedroom summer cottage on beautiful Owasco Lake with 85 ft of private lakefront.  The 1000sqft cottage has an open floor plan with a brand new kitchen and bathroom.  Sliding glass door leads out to a large two tiered deck complete with a hot tub overlooking Owasco Lake.  The deck has a glass dining table that seats six on one side of the deck and a cushioned seating area for 4. A picnic table on the side of the house provides extra seating.  The lower level of the deck has a brand new stainless gas grill and two deck chairs on one side, with a gate on the other side to step directly into the hot tub.  Stairs leading down to the waterfront bring you to a 15X50 deck at the waters edge that has lounge chairs, table, plenty of seating and a refrigerator. 50ft of dock extending out into the lake has plenty of room for your boat or jetski.  Or rent a boat from the marina about 3 miles down the lake.  Use our 2 Kayaks or the canoe to tour the still lake waters of the morning.   

The cottage is located on the east side of Owasco lake for clean water and beautiful sunsets.  The location is perfect and close to everything.  40 minutes from Syracuse, 7 minutes from the town of Moravia, 15 minutes from Auburn, 20 minutes from Skaneateles.  You can tour the beautiful Finger Lake wineries, hike the trails and beautiful waterfalls of Filmore Glen park.  Stroll the quaint shops and restaurants in the village of Skaneateles, or head to the top of the lake for a broadway style show at the Merry Go Round theater in Emerson Park.  So much to do in the area in a short driving distance. 

The cottage is set on a half acre lot, so it has a large backyard to play just about any game you would like.  A new fire pit sits about 30 ft from the house and is perfect for those cool nights or making s'mores. 

The cottage is set up with beds for 12 people, but the house is very comfortable with 6 adults and 4-6 kids.  One bedroom has a queen bed.  The other two bedrooms have a bunk bed and a double bed in each.  The living area has a brand new pull out queen sofa.  Each bedroom has a window air conditioner, but no heat.  The kitchen, dining room and living room are all one big room and great for entertaining.

Main room has a new 32 LCD tv on a articulating arm so the 205+ channels of Direct TV, or the WII game console, (bring your WII games) can be viewed from anywhere, but can be stowed out of the way if you just want to enjoy the view or peace and quiet.  5 disc cd/dvd changer has full surround sound, or use the speaker selector to use the ceiling or outdoor speakers.  Ipod hookup is available both in the house and at the waters edge. 

Two large ceiling fans keep the room very comfortable.  The kitchen is fully stocked with brand new appliances, utensils, plates, etc.

$500 deposit holds the week.  Rate of $1250 or $1600 due 1 month before rental date.  Deposit returned with in 2 weeks of checkout if everything is ok.  Deposit is refundable up to 1 month before start of rental if the house can be rented in that week

Pets are negotiable.  Pet fee of $100 per dog.  Maximum of 2 dogs
