Noisy Disappointment

Family of four stayed for 4 days in April 2012. We have stayed in a few different condo rentals over the years and been on all-inclusive vacations to Mexico and Cuba. I have to say this was the worst place we have ever stayed.

The Good: The view was amazing from our balcony. You are on the South end of San Diego on Imperial Beach which is fairly quiet. Some of the appliances have been upgraded. The pool and hottub were clean and in good working order.

The Bad: Unbelievably noisy in the unit. It is located on the bottom floor. We had small children and a heavy foot walker above us. it was extremly loud, you could hear them walking or running back and forth all day. Also as mentioned in the other review the water running from above would be so loud you could'nt hold a conversation. The bathroom and shower in the master had a lot Mold and Mildew. The overall cleanliness was ok. The unit was short a bunch of amenities that you usually see in a condo rental. No dish soap, dishwasher soap, shampoo, kleenex, or spices. The water was shut off without warning for a couple hours.

The San Diego area is amazing, I would recommend it to anybody, but if you are looking for some quiet in your vacation rental, this might not be the place for you.

Family Vacation with 10,11,12 year olds

The description of the property was accurate. It was clean. The property is very nice with proper ammenities.I would reccommend to others. As typical of a hotel accommodation the walls are a bit thin. We didn't hear the people in adjoining condos but one can definately hear the running water. Every shower, toilet flush, it's amazing how loud water can be. I am a very light sleeper so you may not find this a problem as I did. The beach was wonderful! Not too crowded, no smoking and the lifeguards are attentive without being "in your face". We took the kids everyday and they loved it. The only thing missing was fire pits.We has to make our smores on the BBQ. The BBQ facilities were great and all the people staying there were nice and friendly. The covered parking is a nice feature and the provided luggage cart and shopping carts are really convenient for hauling stuff to your unit. There is a 99 cents store right down the street, perfect for picking up forgotten items or things you didn't have room to pack without spending all your "fun money" on essentials. All in all a great place to vacation.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing
