Located in Prouts Neck this historic cottage was built in 1886 as a summer home. Many of the original features of the home remain giving it a timeless romantic feel. The house is within walking distance to all that Prouts Neck has to offer: Scarborough Beach is a short walk to the East of the home, and Ferry Beach is a short walk to the West. The Black Point Inn is also within walking distance (or a bike ride) for lunch or dinner overlooking the ocean. Take a walk along the cliff walk to Winslow Homer's Studio, or spend an afternoon exploring the Bird Sanctuary. At home, sit on the screened in wrap around porch and read a book or just relax after a day at the beach.

The cottage has two bathrooms, one with a four claw tub and one with a shower. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen and large screened in porch on the first floor, and three bedrooms on the second. The three bedrooms are set up as follows: Master Bedroom has a Full bed, the second bedroom has one twin, and the third bedroom has two twins.
There is also a deck on the back of the house. The house has high speed internet as well as cable television. There is a microwave, stereo, outdoor grill, outdoor seating on the deck, fenced in yard, and an outdoor hammock. Washer and Dryer are located on the first floor. Guests who stay at the cottage for two weeks or more will receive a gift certificate for a two night stay at the Sudbury Inn in Bethel Maine (some restrictions apply).

Scarborough Beach is a short walk from the front door and has miles of beach to explore with the ocean waves crashing on the sand. Ferry Beach is a bay facing Pine Point and Old Orchard Beach with white sand and calm waters. A shoft walk or bike ride away, the Black Point Inn offers lunch and dinner as well as a wonderful bar where you can watch the sun set over the western beach. The cliff walk around Prouts Neck is exceptional, as is the bird sanctuary. Prouts Neck is just seven miles South of Portland where there are wonderful restaurants, Pubs, Shops, museums, sports facilities, and day voyages on Casco Bay.

All Rates are quoted per week Starting from Saturday to Saturday:
06/06/2010-06/26/2010 $1200.00 + tax per week
06/26/2010 - 9/11: $2,500 + tax - 2 week minimum in July and August or add $500.00 for one week;
9/12 - 09/30: $1,200 per week.
10/01/09 - 5/31/10 1500.00 per month for 8 month lease until June 1,
2010 plus utilities.
Nightly Rates subject to Owner's approval and availability: $400.00/night summer;
***Check-in 4:00PM/Check-out 11:00AM***
*** A Refundable Security deposit of $500.00 for weekly rentals.***
