vacation rental description
I am excited to share with you, a unique off-the-grid, mountainside getaway! At least five mountain ranges are visible from the large front deck and the second floor balcony (Crazy, Absaroka. Bridger, Bangtail and Gallatin). The road to the cabin is best suited for an all wheel drive vehicle and is part of the mountain experience. Power is supplied by a solar energy (photo voltaic, PV) array and sealed bank of batteries. A generator provides back-up power for additional battery charging (as needed) and for heating water to shower. Energy conservation is part of the off-grid experience!
cabin rental amenities
The cabin has running water (mountain fresh), indoor shower and toilet, propane gas stove and oven, microwave oven, full sized fridge, fireplace with plenty of wood to burn, living room with tv/dvd/vcr, 2 bedrooms up stairs (kinda steep) with a queen in one and two twins in the other, large deck with BBQ grill and a balcony off the master BR (vistas galore). There is a hide-a-bed in the livingroom if more that 4 people plan to stay.
There is only one full year residence up here. Otherwise, it'll be just you and nature! It is the solitude that makes this place so special.
Our central location makes day trips to YNP, Big Sky, West Yellowstone, Bozeman and all points in between very possible. Livingston has many quality restaurants as well as the usual fast food joints. Be sure to check out "Mark's In & Out" which is a 1950's style diner.
Laundry is off-site in Livingston and cell phone reception is excellent!
activities and attractions in Livingston Montana
Our most famous attraction is America's first National Park, Yellowstone! The northern entrance to Yellowstone is just 50 miles to our south.
We are smack-dab in the middle of some of the best fly fishing on the planet! I am personally most entertained by the diverse wildlife viewing opportunities in SW Montana. This region has appropriately been referred to as the "Serengeti of the West." While raptors (eagles and hawks), bluebirds, ravens and great horned owls grace our Big Skies, Elk, mule deer, white tailed deer, cougar, black bear, coyotes, bobcat, wolves, and many others enjoy this mountainside ecosystem.
Inspiring mountain peaks surround us and are infused with numerous hiking/ biking trails. Please take a moment to check outwww.livingstonmontana.comfor more recreational opportunities.
