Banner Cottage-Beach 1 blk! A Decorator's Personal Retreat! in South Haven

We welcome you to Banner Cottage, in the historic town of South Haven, MI located on Lake Michigan's southeastern shore.  Our three-bedroom, one-bath, slice of heaven is located approximately 1 mile north of the channel, about a block from the beach. 

For almost thirty years our aim has been to enhance, without losing the charm that distinguishes our "cottage" from just another vacation rental home.  Instead of cable television we provide you with movies from our DVD library and high speed wireless access. There's even XM satellite radio throughout.  Our family grows closer by spending winter weekends and lazy summer vacations sunbathing at the beach, shopping & dining downtown, riding bikes, playing games, reading, and simply socializing together.  For us South Haven is a place to relax and not only step back from our busy lives, but actually step back a little in time.  We take turns washing the dishes by hand and the laundry is done after we return home.  Most days find the windows open to the breeze but there are excellent window air conditioning units for the occasional heat wave.  

In the private back yard you are invited to cook on the gas grill, lounge in the hammock, or enjoy games of badminton and croquet.  The back deck is a perfect gathering spot for family and friends.  We encourage guests to also enjoy the many books, puzzles, and board games we've collected over the years.  Also, as we have not child proofed our cottage we ask that any children be well behaved.  We want all of our guests to feel at home and to care for it as if it was theirs.

Provided for you: 

As mentioned there are 3 bedrooms & 1 bath:  1 queen and 2 fulls.  6 person maximum.  Please no smoking inside and no pets.

• All Bedding (we use Duvet Covers & Shams that are laundered between each guest so that all bedding is fresh and clean!).

• Soft white Bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and bath mat.  

• Beach towels.

• Hairdryer, Iron & Ironing Board.

• Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need including microwave and coffee maker. 

• Gas Grill off the back deck. 

• Private back yard.

• High Speed Wireless Internet, XM radio, DVD/CD player.

• Phone w/unlimited local and long distance.

• Games, Cards, Puzzles, Books.

Our Shed is Full of Fun!

•  Beach Chairs, Beach/Sand Toys, medium sized Beach Umbrella.

•  Croquet, Badminton, Frisbee’s, Horseshoes, etc.

•  Large, medium and small Coolers.

Only a block to the beach! The shops, galleries and restaurants of downtown are a short walk, bike, or drive away. Enjoy golfing, fishing, sailing, and visiting local wineries. 

Summer:  Weekly rental rate of $1,650.  (Cleaning fees included.)  A 50% deposit is due within 5 days of your reservation.  A rental agreement will be emailed when 50% deposit is received.  Balance plus $250 security deposit is due 60 days prior to check in date.

Check in time 3:00pm Friday and check-out time 10:00am the following Friday.  

Winter:  Beginning Sept. 13th.  Weekly and nightly rentals available.  $250 nightly rental with 3 night minimum.  $1,200 for the week. (Cleaning fees included)
