This property boasts eleven (9) Bedrooms, ten (10) full bathrooms, as well as one (1) half bathroom and a luxurious mahogany outdoor shower.  Each bedroom is very well appointed with freshly laundered Egyptian Cotton Linens along with the same high quality bath towels. There are three (3) separate central heat / air conditioning zones so our guests' comfort is never an issue.

The main gournet kitchen is complete with expansive granite countertops, two sinks, a 36" built-in refrigerator 36" built-in freezer, two dishwashers, single wall convection oven, microwave, 4 burner gas range with griddle and grille tops, a second and third convection oven, and wine refrigerator.  

Adjacent to the pool area there is an outdoor cabana kitchen with everything one would need to entertain poolside including sink, custom built-in grille, and three refrigerators / freezers.

The outdoor pool is heated for our guests' enjoyment year round - up to 102 degrees F.  Fiber-optic lighting within the pool casts a warm and inviting glow throughout the pool area at night.  During the winter our guests are also provided with seasoned firewood so that they may relax by the warm glow of a roaring fire inside the main living room.  

In the garage area you will find beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach bikes so don't bother lugging any of these cumbersome items along.   In the laundry room you will also find plenty of beach towels.  From Memorial Day through Labor Day the "beach concierge" will set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you on the beach along with a cooler of your favorite drinks.  Just stroll down in your sandals with nothing more to carry than perhaps your favorite book!

The 4 stop elevator provides easy access to the entire house directly from the driveway making access for elderly or handicapped persons a non-issue.  There is also plenty of off-street parking for five vehicles.

Complimentary limousine services are available to our guests upon request through the independently owned and operated Seven Mile Coach Co.  One excursion up to 6 hours long for up to 8 passengers is provided complimentary.

We just returned from spending Thanksgiving week at this beautiful home. I couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. The house is enormous and perfectly furnished. The pool was heated perfectly, and we spent the entire week in it. It was an amazing week. Thank you to the owner who was very welcoming and responsive. I can't find one thing to complain about. I would definitely book this house again!

Recommended for: families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers

Wonderful House

We returned from our vacation and all of us just loved this house. Spacious, new, modern and beautiful. Our kids loved the pool and it was just a short walk to the beach (which had chairs and an umbrella set up to make life easier). Even with the weather being spotty (it rained plenty) we made use of the huge rooms and the kids played inside and had as much fun as when they played outside. The beds were new and so comfortable. We cooked dinner every night either in the awesome kitchen or at the BBQ by the pool. Not really sure what there could be to complain about. The owner could not have been more nice and accomodating. When the built-in BBQ was not working properly he got us a propane tank BBQ the next afternoon so we could continue to cook all the hamburgers and hotdogs we had brought. If we have a group that large again, we would love to come back.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children

lovely residence, horrible service

The owner kicked us out of the rental in a most unpleasant way a day early to accommodate a family barbecue. The original rental agreement had been changed to add the extra day, but after repeated requests, the amended agreement was never signed and sent back to us. We decided to be nice and not insist on this once we arrived. Big mistake, since the original agreement was lorded over us as a way to remove us from the house a day early.

We were the first renters. Here is a list of amenities that were in the rental description that were not provided during our stay.
-no bicycles
-no concierge service
-no elevator
-freezer not working
-problems with bedroom lights on third floor
-problem with air conditioning
-no heat in pool
-no sheets for one bedroom
-outside shower not operational
-no towel racks
-no blinds on master bedroom doors

We, as an extended family who looked forward to this reunion in Avalon, will never rent from this owner again. The owner's wife was extremely rude and practically threw us out of the house. The house was perfect for our needs, so it is very unfortunate that the owner did not value us as clients and treat us as such.

Owners response: This tenant's lease was from May 27 - May 30 at 10 AM. For some reason the tenants decided they would stay an extra day without any further payment or communication of this to myself and my wife, the owners. I cannot understand why anyone would assume they would just be able to add an additional day to their stay without any agreement with us - lease amendments must be in writing.

The rent paid was $5,000 for Memorial Day weekend and was specifically priced this low because all amenities would not be available and that was fully explained to the lessee who was very much fine with that as she "just wanted(ed) to be sure that she would be able to host her family reunion there."

Furthermore, as per the lease check in was set for 1 p.m. on May 27, however, the lessee called and said that one relative had a daughter that had a nap time that they must adhere to so she was showing up early. We politely obliged and explained that our cleaning detail would still be there and we would be taking care of odds and ends - instead of just a few people arriving at 10 am there was about half the party there moving in.

One final point. On May 30 the woman. "Kathy" who signed the lease was not present at the property and had already departed - presumably for home. We tried to reach her on her cell phone to speak with her about the people who were insisting on staying another day. When I called the house and explained that they must leave the woman on the other end was very rude and discourteous and hung up on me. Then, when waiting for over four and one half hours after their check out time of 10 am for the "party" to move out (after they sat around , ate lunch and begrudgingly packed) one woman exclaimed that she could not understand how 30 people could have gotten the checkout date wrong - the limit to this property is set at 25 - this alone demonstrates the character of the people and their disregard for anything except their own agenda.

This is one of the largest, finest and best managed properties available for lease in NJ or anywhere for that matter. Unfortunately we must endure nuisance tenants once in a while but that is the nature of this business.

Freezer froze over b/c door was left ajar too long
3rd floor lights work fine - tenant turned fan/light off at unit - wall switch wont work;
Cleaning crew missed one bed b/c they were hurried - sheets on site though
A/C working completely fine
Pool water was at 80 deg.
