Vacation Rental Description

Comfortable, homey, well equipped and spacious. From the pictures of  
the house, you can see that the view is beautiful.  The deck is a  
wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner or just to sit out  
at night and to look at the stars.  The living room is spacious and  
has a pull out queen sofa.  The cook does not feel left out of the  
activities because he/she is part of the action with the proximity of  
the kitchen work area.  There are plenty of pots, pans, griddles  
etc.   
We keep a supply of place mats, tablecloths and cloth napkins for a  
special effect with your at home dining experiences.  The two  
bedrooms are very different from each other.  The master  
bedroom has a queen sized bed with mirrowed closet doors for clothes  
storage and a chest of drawers.  There is a tv/vcr and remote in this  
bedroom.  The other bedroom has a trundle bed which looks like a day  
bed but when the linens are removed, there are two single beds. These  
single beds can be joined together to form a king size bed.  There is  
a strip that goes where the beds join so the mattress feels all one  
piece and then a strap is placed around the two twin beds to be sure  
they do not separate. This room has a plate glass window which when  
the blinds are open provides this room with the same view that the  
living room has.                                                       
My husband uses this room as his office when we are in the Keys.  He  
has the beauty of the scenery and the access to his computer for his  
work. We have DSL.  The room also has a tv/vcr and remote with cable  
access.  The 2 bathrooms are rather standard types.  One bathroom has  
a tub/shower arrangement and the other bathroom has a shower only.   
Washer/dryer, and a drop down from the wall ironing board are very  
handy. The house has flood lights for safe walking.  There is a table  
and 2 chairs on the deck along with the permanent seats provided by  
the construction of the railing. There are also 2 Telescope Co Zero  
Gravity loungers for your viewing and comfort. There is a second  
table and 4 chairs on the seawall.  
The house also has a grill on the seawall.  If you are bringing a  
boat, fenders, cleats and a fish cleaning table are provided.  The  
water is deep and there is a swim ladder.  The house is very easy to  
live in and relax in.  There are many types of books, tapes, and  
games.  Plenty of towels, sheets are there also.  I have been told by  
people that the pictures do not do the place justice.  It is  
difficult to capture the beauty of the view that we have.  People who  
have rented, come back and are pleased.  We do have a person locally  
to contact if a problem occurs.  We keep her number at the house.   
She is the same lady who does the cleaning. We hope you have a safe  
and enjoyable visit when you come to the Lower Keys.  If you have  
never been to the Lower Keys before, I will send you a booklet with  
the sights to see and to enjoy when you select the time you want to  
rent with us, if you want one.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Venture Out is a 5 Star Resort Condo.  It is a gated community to  
add to the security of the vacationers.   
-80' pool and kiddie pool with waterfront view - always nice & warm 
-salt water swimming area adjacent to the pool 
-tennis courts are lighted at night & freguently tennis competitions  
-2 boat ramps, gas pump and boat washing & fish cleaning stations 
-overflow parking for boats, etc available at fee starting @$2/per PM 
-convenience store is open 7 days  
-eccumental church service on Sunday 
-water exercise and land exercise every week day conducted by member 
-many clubs open to those interested:English darts,boating,computer.

Activities and Attractions

Our home is located off MM23 which is 19 miles away from Key West  
and is very accessible to Looe Reef which is one of the best diving  
spots in the Keys. We have easy access to both the Atlantic and the  
Gulf's Back Country for fishing including bonefish, permit and  
tarpon.  We are surrounded by great restaurants, a variety of night  
life, theatre arts, museums, art galleries, boat rentals for  
kayaking/canoeing or charters for your specific fishing wants.   
Bahia Honda State Park, Dolphin Research Center, National Key Deer  
Refuge and Looe Key Diving Center are also near by.  There awaits  
the many discoveries for you to find on your own.  Maybe, in the  
book we keep in the house, you will tell us some of the many and  
varied great things that you have found and wish to share (except  
the co-ordinates on that "secret" fishing hole)with the rest of us!

Vacation Rental Rates

Weekly rate is $1400 and Lobster and Holiday Weeks -$1500 
 
WE have a minimum fee of $750 when the rental will be only 3 days  
days/nights.  Christmas, New Years, and Lobster Season full  
weeks only are accepted. When one is planning to rent for less than  
one week, the rate is $250 per night plus the other charges that have  
been explained - cleaning-$75, security deposit-$300 and refunded  
after 30 days if no damage or excessive cleaning or laundry is  
required and Florida tax of 11.5%. 
We reserve the dates requested when we receive a deposit for one half  
the full rental fee which includes the taxes, cleaning and security  
deposit.  We reserve the time on a first deposit check received  
basis. Frequently, there are requests for the same week and that is  
the fairest way to do business. Thank you for understanding this  
policy. 
CHECK IN TIME IS 2:00PM AND CHECK OUT TIME IS 10:00AM. 
THESE TIMES MUST BE OBSERVED SO THE HOUSE CAN BE CLEANED AND CHECKED  
FOR THE NEXT FAMILY. 
The Condo charges $5.38 for the first 2 persons per/week and $4.35  
for each additional person/per day.  This allows use of pool, hot  
tub, tennis courts, boat ramps and many more areas of fun,  
basketball courts, shuffle board, pool table, bocce courts, golf  
driving net, children's play area, library, and post office. 
 
We will send you a contract stating the dates of your rental and rate and  
we will enclose an information sheet about the Venture Out Resort. 
We will also enclose a map of the layout of the resort.  We believe these 
items will be helpful to you with your anticipated visit.  We also have 
sent out the Activities Booklet of the Key West area to those renters 
who may be new to the Lower Keys.  We send all this info after we receive the 
first deposit check. 
 
CANCELLATION POLICY: Deposit refunded if made 40 days prior to  
arrival.  Thereafter, any portion that is re-rented will be refunded. 
We have a $50 service fee for any cancellation.
