" The FUNkY Mermaid House " - Great Winter Rates! in Panama City Beach

Special memories can be made at this very private oasis on the quiet west end of Panama City Beach. Known for its festive decor and tasteful mermaid accents, this colorful Caribbean cottage is a short walk (1+ block) to the community's sugar white beach and beautiful emerald water. The beach is dedicated to the community and has no motels or condos.

Imagine a little "Margaritaville" as you walk through the welcoming gate. On the other side is a private entertainment courtyard complete with bar-b-que grill. It is perfect for private bathing in the sun or reading in the shade. There is even a chiminea for warming up on cool evenings.

Colorful Caribbean ambiance welcomes you into the cottage. Two sets of double doors open to the courtyard to create a secluded island atmosphere. Ceiling fans keep the cool breezes flowing while you enjoy your very own paradise.

Inside and out, this tropical 3 bedroom and 2 bath cottage is both fun and relaxing. There are 2 like-new firm queen beds, 1 new king bed 2011, and a new sleeper sofa 2012. Both bathrooms include a shower, sink and toilet.

Every year we upgrade items to make this cottage even more neat, comfortable, and fun. We added a new washer and dryer, all new rugs, and renovated the master bath to include a roomy 5-foot shower and a spacious 5-foot sink space. The dishwasher and roof are new and we added a TV in the master. In 2011, we replaced the king mattress, stove, and refrigerator and closed in the courtyard/backyard for pets. In 2012, we replaced the sleeper sofa.

We are serious about making your stay a comfortable and memorable one. We hope you will consider our cottage for your vacation getaway or special occasion.

Everything you need is included in the fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, pots and pans, Microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, and coffee pot. Washer and dryer, cable TV and internet, VCR/DVD, stereo with a 5-CD changer, local telephone, 2 TVs (one in the living room and one in the master), bed linens, and towels are also provided. Central heat and air and a ceiling fan in each room provide cool comfort. There is also a futon in the master bedroom for one more.

The private courtyard includes a patio table with 4 chairs for dining outside, 2 shade umbrellas, 2 chaise loungers and two adirondack chairs.

This unique cottage is a very short and easy walk to Thomas doughnut/snack shop, Carrousel grocery and wine store, and the most beautiful beach you can imagine! Restaurants, golf, miniature golf, movies, parasailing, jet skiing, the pier, water parks, and shopping are minutes away and it is just 2-1/2 miles from Frank Brown Ballpark.

Our new Pier Park shopping mall, with over 1 million square feet of shopping, includes Old Navy, Dillard’s, Ron Jon Surf shop, a 16 screen movieplex, major restaurant chains like Longhorn, Outback, Johnny Rocket, and local favorites like Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville.

There are enough restaurants to fill your every desire for eating out, or you can get fresh steamed shrimp or fish (with potatoes, corn, the best key lime pie, and more) from Buddy's market and eat at the cottage. Our new favorite is Mike's new Oyster Bar beside his Mike's Diner. Oh my goodness, the food is awesome!

$850 -$1000 in March (weekly only Saturday to Saturday).

$750 - $950 June, July and August (weekly only Saturday to Saturday).

$100 per night for partial weeks in remaining months.

$250.00 security deposit to confirm reservations (includes $100 cleaning fee).
After check-out cleaning and inspection, if there are no damages, $150 is returned.
No Smoking in the house please.
