There is a Screened in room on the large outdoor deck with a table and seating for 4 adults for those sunrise breakfasts or evening dinners. The Large Living/Dining room has a wood burning fireplace, TV, over 100 older VHS tapes, stereo with CD and DVD Player, a dining room table with seating for 6 adults, a Comfortable couch and 2 chairs, and a large wooden coffee table. We are located two miles to Sackets Harbor's historic downtown, ten miles to Watertown's shopping, restaurants, bars, and 31 miles to the Canadian border. The boat is an old, 16' aluminum fishing boat with oars, perfect for fishing the flats or out on Black River bay.  If you have an electric motor, feel free to bring it.  The water at the front of the house is deep (14'), but the surrounding area is shallow, so the water warms up quick in the year for swimming.  This is a great vacation spot!  We love it, and feel that you'll want to come back year after year!

You're in the 1000 islands area, so there's always something to do.  The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, antique shopping, boating, day trips to Alexandria Bay, swimming, fishing, and life on the water.  We go out to the small sandy islands just a few hundred feet north of the cottage and swim/explore.  On Sundays during the summer, there is a re-enactment of the times of the War of 1812 with period costumes and black powder guns at the park in Sackets Harbor.  There are lots of GREAT places to eat and drink in Sackets Harbor- our particular favorite is the Sackets Harbor Brewing Company for a great steak.  Any of the places overlooking the harbor have great food.  Pizza at Goodfellas is excellent, too.  And every Saturday night you can have dinner and see a comedian at the Lake Ontario Playhouse.

Our rates are $600/week prior to July, $900/week for July, August, and through Labor day week, then decreasing back to $600/week. We do ask for a $400 security deposit, which will be returned within 2 weeks after leaving. Pets are allowed, but we charge a non-refundable pet fee of $100.  All utilities are included in the rental price.  The cottage is fully furnished with cleaning supplies, and we ask that you leave it in the same great shape you'll find it in. A $75 cleaning fee may be deducted from the security deposit if needed. Monthly rates are negotiable.

Rentals are Saturday to Saturday, but we may be able to do other days.  Rental pricing is for one week minimum.  Standard check in time: Saturday at 3:00 PM
