Vacation Rental Description

Leave your stress and cares behind and embrace the tranquility of 
our lakeside cottage for a few days or a few weeks. The choice is 
yours. Our clean and peaceful environment has all the amenities to 
make your stay as quiet or exciting as you want. 

At High Rock (North Carolina’s second largest lake) nature awaits 
with our beautiful lake views & extended pier and dock. Catch fish 
in our quiet cove or watch the abundant wildlife close up from the 
waters edge. 

Our delightful A-Frame, gingerbread cottage offers great views from 
the living areas as well as the raised deck. Enjoy your preferred 
beverage in peaceful surroundings or be your own “Emeril” and cook 
your catch on our deluxe grill. If you’re not chef material – then 
head for town and the famous Lexington Barbeque. 

Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen including paper goods just 
BYOF (bring your own food). All quality linens including bedding, 
towels etc. are provided for your convenience with laundry facilites 
on site. Our fully furnished facility also includes 2 TV’s with VCR 
& DVD. Provided entertainment includes, books, games & puzzles. 
Outside enjoy relaxing, snoozing or star-gazing from the swinging 
hammock or the umbrella covered patio set.  


Nearby enjoy all the necessary conveniences of major grocery stores, 
fast food and other restaurants including our famous “bar b que” as 
well as movie rentals & shopping. Other nearby activities include: 
The Ashboro Zoo, Bob Timberlake Gallery, Richard Childress Winery & 
Vineyards or Richard Childress Racing Museum in Welcome or North 
Carolina’s Transportation Museum in Spencer. Other options are 
hiking at Morrow Mountain just east of Albemarle or furniture 
shopping in High Point. 

At days end come back to the peace & serenity of our lake cottage 
and freshen up in the sunken shower with dual shower heads or nap in 
the double bed, sleeper sofa, or cozy loft. Our clean environment is 
enhanced by our "non-smoking and no pets policy." 

If you are looking for a convenient, quiet, cozy & peaceful get-a-
way that offers all the excitement nearby you’ll love 
our “Gingerbread Cottage”. Our rates are “friendly” as we try to 
provide true “Southern Hospitality”.

Fishing (We carry a Special Guest Fishing License which entitles you 
to fish from our waterway property, pier, and dock without any 
additional inland fishing license.)

Water-skiing, Jet Skiing, Swimming, Biking, Wildlife viewing, Wine 
tasting, Eating barbecue.

3 night min required on all stays.
