Beach Island condo in Bonita Beach

This lavishly furnished Island condo is on the beach.  The beach on Big Hickory Island.   Not near the beach, not even a few steps to the beach.  It is ON the beach.  This isn't just any old beach.  CNN voted it one of the top ten beaches in the country!  This vacation condo is also on the top floor of the building.  You won't find a better home away from home.   Awaken to the sound of waves as the beautiful beach comes peaking right into your bedroom window.  Watch the shore birds skamper as a wave slides in toward their feet.  Look out a little further and dolphins may be passing by on their way to breakfast.  Carry your coffee onto the lanai for a closer look and allow the gulf breeze to comb through your hair.  Don't worry about shedding your jammies and getting dressed immediately.  Relax!  You're on the top floor, remember?  The birds don't care what you have on and the beach walkers can't see you.   Time to plan your day.  Maybe you would like to play tennis on the well cared for courts?  Perhaps swim in the Gulf of Mexico?  Try your hand at fishing?  Golf?  Walk the beach and collect shells?  Take a dip in the pool?  Or maybe this is the day just to sit on the beach and read a book.   Its your day and you can make it anything you wish.  Paradise stretches out before your eyes.

Your home away from home is fully air conditioned with remote controlled ceiling fans in all the rooms, even on the lanai.  Beautiful tile flooring stretches from the front door all the way through the lanai.  There is  cable TV with VCR & CD-DVD player in the livingroom.  Another TV in the bedroom. 

The bedroom features twin beds nestled romantically together, 2 closets, a chest of drawers, built in shelves and drawers on each side of the bed, a computer desk, a TV with CD player, and a sliding door to the hallway.             The bath is tiled with a glass walk-in shower large enough for 2.                   The kitchen has recessed lighting shining down on the smooth topped stove, microwave, dishwasher, double sink and granite counter tops.  The breakfast bar is just across from the stove and next to the refrigerator (with ice maker.)  After lunch you can cat nap either on the comfortable couch or sink into the cushy recliner.  There is a round table for 4 in the great room.  And of course, lamps, coffee table, end tables, bar stools and TV.

The view from the lanai stretches as far as the eye can travel out over the Gulf of Mexico.  Watch the native birds, jumping fish, dolphins and passing motor and sail boats.  At night you can see the light from Sanabel's light house.  You can also catch the glimmer of Naples' night life.  Breath taking sunsets are just outside your door every night.       A washer, dryer, laundry tub and trash chute are in the hallway.     The large heated pool is roped off between the deep and shallow ends.  The pool is actually a SWIMMING pool, not a WADING pool which is often the case in condos.   Lounge chairs, restrooms, shower and a drinking fountain are inside the pool complex.     Dolphin Way also has well maintained tennis courts.  Managers are on site every morning and are friendly and very helpful.  Just introduce yourself to George and Sandy.                                                                                                                                                   

Big Hickory Island and Bonita Beach  is away from the noise and comotion of Fort Myers Beach but not so far away that you can't join the touristy activities when you are in the mood.  Do try the Beach Bread at the Pier Restaurant.  In your "home away from home" you will often feel that you have your own private paradise.  However, you are in the center of everything, shopping, theater, sports, water fun, shelling, fishing etc. Groceries, entertainment shopping, and restaurants are 2-10 minutes away.
DISNEY WORLD, BUSH GARDENS, SEA WORLD (and other Orlando Attractions,) Miami and the Everglades are only 1-3 hours away. You can even catch a boat
to Key West in Fort Myers, do some sight seeing and return the
same day. If gambling is your thing there is a Casino Boat out of
Ft. Myers and two Indian Casinos only a short drive away.    Antiquing is an interesting thing to do in near-by Arcadia.   Close by you will also find a large variety of live theaters including Barbara B. Mann's professional productions.  Florida has an abundance of golf courses so bring your clubs.
