vacation rental description
Arcata Stay Lodging Network's stunning Craftsman residence is presently the finest and largest vacation rental available in downtown Arcata. It is a custom designed, two story, 2300 square foot, artisan -crafted home with four bedrooms, two and a half baths, a spacious back yard, and a two car garage, located just six short blocks north of Arcata Plaza, and two blocks from the Gateway to Humboldt State University.
Rising Phoenix Retreat can be rented as a four bedroom accommodation or as a three bedroom, at a lower rate, with a fourth bedroom locked off. November 1 through April 30, it can be rented as a two bedroom with rooms locked off, at a lower rate.
The vacation rental is ideal for guests visiting Arcata for weddings, family reunions, families traveling together, or for folks traveling together for special events. It also can be utilized for corporate group or university related venues. This Arcata Stay can sleep up to ten people. All four bedrooms located on the second story can accommodate eight guests and the parlor sofa downstairs converts into a bed which can sleep two additional guests. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, second and third bedrooms each have queen beds, and the fourth bedroom has two twin sized beds. All bedrooms have large closets, side tables with reading lamps, seating, luggage racks, and IPOD docking alarm clocks. All of the beds are sumptuously comfortable, with pillow top mattresses, high quality linens, and plentiful pillows.
The airy great room, kitchen with breakfast bar, and work desk, combine in an open floor plan with French doors leading to a patio seating area and barbeque station in the garden. The great room, with a gas fireplace and comfortable sectional sofa and side chairs, and the island breakfast bar, with wooden stool seating, are areas where guests gather to socialize, watch the flat screen high definition TV, listen to the stereo, or prepare meals together in the exceptionally well equipped dream kitchen.
The formal dining room with kitchen pass-through, built in buffet, and large dining set, can seat ten guests for formal dinners, simple meals, or for game playing.
There is a parlor set apart from the dining room and great room. The parlor has a fireplace, sofa and chairs, and ideal lighting for getting cozy with a good book.
The home’s design seamlessly fuses Arts and Crafts elements--rich-hued wooden floors, doors, cabinetry, built-ins, furniture, fireplaces, art glass lighting, and iron hardware-- with modern features and conveniences such as vaulted ceiling, sky lights, many windows, large closets, walk-in shower and Jacuzzi tub, and top of the line Energy Star stainless steel appliances. Abundant wall space showcases splendid ethereal pastel and print artwork. The decorative palette is true to Arts and Crafts simplicity; earth tones and neutrals are handsomely reflected in furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
