traveler reviews for this san francisco house rental

Decent rental but needs some updates/attention

Dennis (Seattle, WA, USA)
Review submitted: June 11, 2013   Date of arrival: May 24, 2013

I rented the place for myself and four other friends over the Memorial weekend. We planned to explore and sight see areas in San Francisco and Napa Valley and needed a place to sleep in between and hanging out in the evenings. The place had plenty of space with two large living areas, an ample-sized kitchen, and spacious bedrooms. The driveway was a godsend and prevented us from having the hassle of finding somewhere to park our vehicle. You will need some mode of transportation if you plan to venture into the city on the regular. The beach was a very short walk from the property and access to Golden Gate park was awesome for a nice walk or jog in the mornings. The thoroughness of the cleaning was not up to par however. We changed bedding on a couple of beds once we arrived (there were fresh, clean sheets available). The television in the main room had cable service and wifi worked as advertised. The owner and his staff were very responsive. Payment was easy and hassle free. Overall, it was a decent property but do not expect an upscale experience. It was a nice place to rest in between our adventures during the extended weekend.

Beautiful House

Review submitted: July 27, 2012   Date of arrival: July 1, 2012

We rented the house after it had renovations and it is great. Pictures do not do it justice. We rented the place for a family reunion. Pleasantly surprised how nice the house was. Large bedrooms, great living, dining & family rooms. Quick access by car or shuttle to airport. Garage & driveway for 1 or 2 cars. Sound isolation from neighbors. Quick walk to Ocean Beach, golden gate park, cliff house and Sutro Park. Close to a multitude of great reasonable priced restaurants on Balboa, Geary, Clements and Irving streets. 30 minute bus ride on #5 bus to downtown (runs 24 hr a day). 24 hr Safeway store 1 block away. Zoo a quick bus ride on #18 bus. Great place to experience San Francisco. Comfortable and spacious with the 8 people we had there. Rick
