Vacation Rental Description

This is a truly unique location on Mammoth Mountain. Timber Ridge is 
the highest location in Mammoth, looking down over Canyon Lodge and 
the Owens Valley. Ski in and ski out to Chair 8 and Canyon Lodge or 
ski out to Chair 15 and the Juniper Springs chair lifts.(In the 
summer, these ski runs become a world class mountain biking trail.) 

The condo has beautiful views of the Sherwin Range and the Owens 
Valley beyond, from the living room and master bedroom. There is a 
spa, "his and hers" saunas and a pool (summer only) at the 
clubhouse, directly across from the condo. Surrounded by national 
forest, this small complex has a remote, woodsy atmosphere. 
Nightlife is down the hill(approx. 2 miles) where there are many 
excellent restaurants and bars.  

Area activities includes superb cross country skiing (just down Lake 
Mary Road at the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center), snowmobiling, 
dogsledding and snowshoeing. The hot springs are popular year 
around.  Summer fun such as fishing, hiking, golfing mountain biking 
and horseback riding are very close by. 

As a result of development there are great restuarants and bars all 
over town and on the mountain. Most lifts are now high speed and 
many are enclosed. There is gondola service to the top and to the 
mid-mountain lodge where skiers and non-skiers can enjoy excellent 
food and High Sierra views at a beautiful restaurant as well as dine 
at the less formal cafe. 

There are many great restaurants around town.  Our favorites are 
Nevados and Tamarack Lodge (I never get tired of walking through the 
enclosed entry way lined with firewood stacked all the way up to the 
rafters on both sides.) Tamarack Lodge is an old-style mountain 
lodge with a huge fireplace and lots of sitting area.  Tamarack 
serves French with a good wine selection. Nevados is California 
cuisine and very good, as are the drinks. 

Whiskey Creek and Lakanuki are dinner and late night places. Other 
favorites are Alpenrose on Old Mammoth Road and Angels on Main St. 
Both are reasonable (especially Angel's. The Stove also on Old 
Mammoth Road is great for huge breakfasts.  We love the Yodler 
across from Main Lodge for after ski. Ski clothes are acceptable 
everywhere. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

The interior of the condo includes new or nearly new furniture 
throughout.  The master bedroom has a elevated 4 poster bed to 
better view the moolit mountains at night. There is a television in 
the master bedroom. The master also has a large walk-in closet. 

The second bedroom has a a twin bed trundle that can pop up to 
create a king size bed. The mirrored wardrobe covers one wall and 
has lots of space. The custom sofa in the living room converts to a 
queen pillow top sleeper.The kitchen is well equipped including 
large roasting pans, and serving pieces for holiday dinners. 

The garage is attached and provides close stairway access.  

Ski home through the woods to hot drinks, a crackling fire and 
beautiful views - then go for a soak and a sauna. Enjoy dinner at 
home or go out to one of the really excellent restaurants just down 
the hill.

$300 per night winter mid-week plus cleaning
$340 per night winter weekend plus cleaning
$450 per night Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years,   
     Presidents Week - 5 night minimum -plus cleaning
$175 per night summer (May-Oct) plus cleaning
