Walk to beach in 5 minutes, walk to boutiques (Gap, Banana Republic etc), bars, cafes (Starbucks and Peets etc) , and restaurants of 2nd street in 2 minutes. You can rent kayaks and sailboats just minutes away, The red bus takes you to downtown Long Beach and the Pike in minutes where you can visit the Queen Mary and the Acquarium of the Pacific. Once downtown you can take the metro link to Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. You can also take the ferry from downtown to Catalina Island. If you have a car Surf city is 10 minutes away (Huntington Beach), Laguna and Newport beach 20 and 30 minutes and Disneyland is 30 minutes.
