Writer's Retreat in Peaks Island

Ocean and treetop views from rooftop deck. Beautiful, two-bedroom, art-filled writer's residence nestled into the edge of the woods on a dirt road on the ocean side of Peaks Island, Maine. A two- or three-minute walk to the ocean, at night the only sound you are likely to hear is that of the waves hitting the shore. Not available before June 2009.

Fully renovated, my home features a split-level living/dining room, with a full-sized sleep sofa, full bath, updated kitchen, bedroom with full-sized bed, and laundry room on the first floor. Upstairs is a large TV-room/study with sofa, master bedroom with queen-sized bed, a soaring ceiling, air conditioner, ceiling fan,queen-sized bed, and second bath.

In addition to the rootop deck, a substantial deck spans the entire front of the house. 12-minute walk to the ferry.

Please: no pets, no loud parties, no smoking, no poorly behaved people.

Linens can be provided for an extra fee.

$1150 per week; $1050 per week for more than one week. $1250 a week July 15th to August 31st. $85 cleaning fee.
