Spring/Summer
The huge heated pool boasts an 8' spa overflowing into it. The custom pool has benches and messauge jets
built into each corner. Relax in the high quality pool furniture or sit around the outdoor kitchen and bar for a
drink or game of cards. Watch the children play with all the pool toys or in the amazing Monkey Mansion
Treehouse playground. It is a huge (real) fallen redwood tree that has been hallowed out with a climbing wall
inside up to the funky treehouse on top. From there go out on the balcony, down the spiral slide or the monkey
bars to the swings or tire swing over to the toddler slide or see saw. And all of this is in the middle of a huge
sandbox complete with all sorts of beach toys,
Tons of pool toys are also
available. From the pool you look out over the house towards the
beautiful mountain vistas. Chances are, this is where you'll want
to
spend all your time on nice days, but don't forget everything the
area has to offer as well! From your door at Berner Haus, you can
enjoy marked and wild hiking trails, great mountain biking, and 4-
wheeling. Sunday River’s famous mountain biking is a blast. Take
the lift up, and bike down for miles. In summer, swimming in some
of
Sunday River's swimming holes (a short bike ride away), or sliding
down Frenchman's hole waterfall is both exciting and refreshing.
Canoe or fish in the beautiful Androscoggin River or one of the many
surrounding crystal lakes. Try some flat or white water kayaking.
Go
strawberry picking or hike for wild blueberries. Take a nature tour
(or just look out your window at Berner Haus!). Be our guest at the
new Trent Jones designed Sunday River Golf Course using our guest
membership privledges. Take tennis lessons or play at the Bethel
Inn
Championship Golf course. Or, if that's not your speed, try some
miniature Golf, boating, laser tag, volleyball, waterslides, arcade,
horseback riding, or indoor rock climbing, all within a 10-minute
drive. Within a half hour drive, hike, drive or take the cog
railway
to the top of Mt. Washington (the highest peak in the east). Shop
the many outlets in North Conway, go white water rafting, take the
kids to 6 Gun City or Santa’s Village, or explore the many antique
stores, shops and architecture in the surrounding New England
villages. The opportunities are endless.

morning
of horseback riding through the mountain range. Take a drive along
the Scenic Highway of Rt. 26 to see an inevitable moose, the rock
formations of Grafton Notch State Park and the awe inspiring
Dixfield
Notch, then lunch at the historic Balsams. Go antiquing in Bethel
and the Oxford Hills area. The opportunities for a wonderful and
relaxing vacation abound.
