vacation rental description
Our South Haven retreat is located in a quiet neighborhood on the shores of Lake Michigan about five minutes south of downtown. The cottage is the former caretaker's house of the original Marwood lakefront estate. It is part of what is locally known as Doctor's Row, because at the turn of the century several Chicago doctors used to own properties and entertain in these parts.
Situated on a couple of acres, there is plenty of room for kids and grown up games (badminton, volleyball, horseshoe...) and great barbecues. A short walk down the path will let you enjoy some magnificent Michigan sunsets. Wooden stairs with several landings and benches will guide you straight to the beach. Unfortunately due to the extensive erosion by us you will have to go over rocks and debris at the bottom of the stairs for several yards before you get to the sand. There are also plenty of other beach access in the area.

The house was recently renovated with all the modern amenities and furnished in antiques creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is fully-equipped and has a convenient island for entertaining and dining. The dining room can accommodate six to eight people. The open floor plan makes it comfortable for a couple of families to enjoy.

Jun 15-Sep 07 .. $1975/week. Friday to Friday summer rental
Sep 08-Fall .... $1450/week.
Nightly Rate ... From $260/night.
Fall, Winter, Spring Weekends Get-away available (2 night minimum).
Half down at time of booking, balance due 60 days prior to arrival
Additional $500 Security/damage deposit refunded within 30 days of departure
Cancellation for summer rentals must be received prior to April 1st. $75 fee
