     Only 1000 steps east will take you to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean and our beautiful semi private beach. Early risers greet the day with a large variety of shore birds watching a glorious sunrise.  Take a invigerating walk, collect shells, fish or just reflect.  Your exciting island vacation has just begun.

     The gated community of Beach Woods with nightly security service, welcomes you to enjoy a swim in our two heated pools or exercise in a fully equipt faciliy with sauna.  If tennis is your game we have three lighted courts, hand ball, bocce ball, horse shoes and a childrens play ground.

     Vacationing on the River will prove to be a memorable experience.  Dolphines play litterly in your back yard.  Bird life abounds and we have a new 500 foot dock 500 steps from your front door.  You have your choice of viewing breathtaking sunsets from either 1 of the two covered decks at the Villa or stroll down to the dock and toast the days end with new found friends.

    Have you ever watched a loggerhead turtle lay 100 eggs?  May through October the lights are dimmed on the beaches in honor of this event. It is truly amazing.  And from this same beach you can watch and hear a liftoff of a space craft scheduled from time to time.

     I am a Florida Native and have lived in this area since 1956.  I have watched the changes in our costal living and I can honestly say that Melboune Beach is unique in that we have fairly strict building codes.  That is one reason there are few high rises and much less conjestion in Melbourne Beach.  It is often said to be the last and the best of Florida.
