California and is also called "Grandmas House". 
This sweet home was built in 1925 and is situated on a river bend of 
the Markleeville River.It has lawn yard and surounded by the  
beautiful Alpine setting and a riverbank of wildflowers.

Vacation Rental Amenities

This quaint and restful family home has a completly furnished kitchen 
including a washer and dryer and great room including a cd/am/fm  
sound system, piano, vcr, movie library, comfortable furnishings and  
large dining table. It is quiet and and convenient and private.  
Because it is located on the river, you can relax, fish and barbeque  
riverside, right in your own back yard. It is a very short walk to  
the the general store, the deli, restaurants and bar, museum and 4  
miles from the hot springs.

Activities and Attractions

As it is located in the Beautiful Sierra Nevada Montains, there is 
supreme hiking, bicycling, fishing, rafting, hot springs, skiing, and 
biking--all immediately with the location of the guest house.  It is 
conveniently located at 14800 Highway 89 in Markleeville, California 
and just a 30 minute drive to Lake Tahoe and Kirkwood and two hours 
from Mammoth and one hour from a Yosemite Park entrance, Although 
Markleeville is the county seat for beautiful Alpine County and has a 
museum, a library, chamber of commerce, a store, one pump gas  
station, restaurants, bar, it is still a sweet small town of only  
about 175 people.

Vacation Rental Rates

This four bedroom, two bath mountain guest home rents nightly and  
weekly.  The rates are from $160.00 $220.00 per night. 
Weekly rates range from $1050.00 and up. Please inquire for family or 
group rates. All rates are plus taxes and applicable deposits for  
pets or groups. Rates may be higher during special events and  
minimums may apply. A non-refundable deposit of half the amount of  
the total stay is required and may be paid by cash, check, money  
order,visa or mastercard.Please inquire by phone or by email for
