Westside Lodge is a 2-story riverfront home on Westside Road, known as "The Rodeo Drive of Pinot Noir". The house is named for its ideal location on Westside Road, a beautiful winding road that leads through miles of farms and vineyards. As one of the only riverfront properties on Westside Road, Westside Lodge offers a unique Russian River Valley wine country experience, allowing you to make your home base on the actual road where some of the world's finest Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown. If you are headed to the Russian River Valley or Dry Creek Valley for a wine-related event, chances are, it's happening here on Westside Road. 

Westside Road is a 14 mile scenic drive which leads directly into Healdsburg, a well-known food and wine destination. Here, you'll find dozens of tasting rooms, premium shopping, and an incredible array of restaurants including Cyrus, Dry Creek Kitchen, Cena Luna, Bovolo, Healdsburg Bar and Grill, and many more. Sonoma County is known for its commitment to high-quality, organic and sustainable meats and produce and you'll find that most establishments focus on locally grown, seasonal ingredients. 

On the main floor, the spacious great room features a floor-to-ceiling natural rock fireplace, high trestle-beam wood ceilings, a queen sleeper couch, 2 additional reading/seating areas + house library, and 50" HDTV with DVR and expanded cable with on-demand movies. This great room opens to a very large covered riverview porch with dining table and lounge seating. There is also a half-bath on this level. The well-equipped kitchen opens to a spacious dining room with large farmhouse table that expands to seat up to 10 guests, and opens to the front porch with a Weber 3-burner propane grill.

On the lower level, there are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. 

The master suite has a king bed with down comforter and dual-control heated mattress pad, 19" LCD TV with DVD player, and quality Craftsman-style furnishings. The remodeled vintage-style master bath, accessed through the master bedroom, has a shower over deep Kohler 1930's tub, pedestal sink and seat-height toilet. The master bedroom is across the hallway from the other 2 bedrooms.

Two additional bedrooms, located off the central downstairs hallway across from the master bedroom, each have queen beds, forest views, and heated dual-control mattress pads. 

These bedrooms share a large tahoe-inspired bathroom with redwood walls and and enormous double shower.

Find  another large covered porch on the bedroom level, with outdoor seating, a daybed, and more fantastic river views.

Outside, stairs hug the side of the house and lead down to a beautifully landscaped, tree-covered stepped trail which leads directly to private river access. During the summer, your booking also includes free unlimited use of 2 kayaks, and inner tubes. Life jackets and oars are provided. During the fall and winter, you may use the private launch area for fishing. The Russian River is home to Steelhead, Coho Salmon, Catfish, and Crayfish.

Wine tasting: The house is located on Westside Road, known as "The Rodeo Drive of Pinot Noir", in the heart of the Russian River Valley AVA. There are over a dozen wineries and tasting rooms on Westside Road. This 14-mile scenic route leads past acres of vineyards and farms, and directly into Healdsburg.

Wine and Food, Music, and Athletic events through the year on or near Westside Road include Winter Wineland (January), Barrel Tasting (March), Taste of Dry Creek Valley (April), Ironman Vineman (July), Taste of Sonoma, Grape to Glass (August), Sonoma Wine Country Weekend (Labor Day weekend), Blues + Jazz on the River (September), Harvest Fair (October), Annual Food and Wine Affair (November). Most of these events take place within minutes of Westside Lodge. 

Healdsburg features world-class dining at restaurants including Dry Creek Kitchen, Cyrus, Bovolo, Manzanita, Cena Luna and many others. The slow food movement is alive and well in Sonoma County and most restaurants focus on locally produced, organically grown produce and meats.

Guerneville is just a 4 mile drive from the house. This is a popular summer resort destination, and home to many LGBT events throughout the year.

Sebastopol, a very Californian town with shops, restaurants, farms, and friendly people, is just 10 miles away. There is a restaurant/brewery, Whole Foods Market, wonderful homemade ice cream at Screaming Mimi's, and many charming little shops on the main street here. In summer, there are wonderful farmers' markets here.

Within minutes of the house, you can go hiking or horseback riding in Armstrong Woods redwood forest, go fishing for steelhead, salmon or catfish, rent a canoe at Burke's Canoe Trips, visit a working farm, or just go for a long bicycle or motorcycle ride. 45 minutes to the west, the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean in Jenner. 45 minutes to the east, you'll find yourself in Napa Valley.

The Napa Valley wine region is home to hundreds of additional wineries and many world-class restaurants including the French Laundry, Bouchon, Bottega, Mustards Grill, Ubuntu, and more casual options like Taylor's Refresher (burgers). Check out the Oakville Grocery or Dean and DeLuca for an elegant picnic spread complete with local wines, prepared foods, sandwiches, and culinary gifts. For a truly unique day trip, enjoy a 3-hour excursion on the Napa Valley Wine Train, which includes lunch and a round-trip tour through spectacular Napa Valley. In the spring, the Napa Valley is covered with a carpet of yellow mustard flowers in the vineyards--quite a sight!
