Westside Lodge: Riverfront Home on Healdsburg Wine Road in Russian River

Westside Lodge is a restored 2-story riverfront vintage cabin home on the Russian River "Wine Road". Enjoy this classic wood-paneled two-story cabin with trestle-beam ceiling in the great room, over 1800 square feet, and 2 large riverfront porches, while enjoying all the comforts of home. The homehas pine paneling in every room, warm caramel-colored fir floors, cozy cotton linens and down comforters, and room for up to 8 guests. The very private house is not visible from the road.

On the main floor, the spacious great room features a floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace, high ceilings, a queen sleeper couch, 2 additional reading/seating areas + house library, and 50" HDTV with DVR and expanded cable with on-demand movies/shows. This great room opens to a very large covered riverview porch with dining area and lounge seating. There is also a half-bath on this level. The well-equipped kitchen opens to a spacious dining room with large farmhouse table that seats up to 10 guests, and opens to the front porch with a Weber propane grill.

On the lower level, there are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The master suite has its own vintage-style bathroom with tub/shower, a king bed, 19" LCD TV with DVD player, and Craftsman-style furnishings.

Two additional bedrooms each have queen beds and share a large tahoe-inspired bathroom with redwood walls and and enormous double shower. The central hallway leads to a second large covered porch with outdoor seating, a large daybed, and more fantastic river views.

Outside, stairs hug the side of the house and lead down to a beautifully landscaped, tree-covered stepped path which leads directly to private river access. During the summer, your booking also includes free use of 2 kayaks, paddles, 4 inner tubes, and life jackets.

Enjoy Westside Road's 15 miles of vineyards and farms, wind through bay and redwood trees, to end up in the heart of Healdsburg, where you'll find some of Sonoma County's finest restaurants and shopping, or continue into Dry Creek Valley to explore dozens more wineries.

Wine tasting: The house is located on Westside Road, in the heart of the Russian River Valley AVA area--there are over a dozen wineries and tasting rooms right on Westside Road. This 14-mile scenic route leads past acres of vineyards and farms, and directly into Healdsburg. Healdsburg features world-class dining and shopping. Wine events through the year including Grape to Glass, Barrel Tasting, Taste of Sonoma, and Sonoma Wine Country Weekend all take place within minutes of Westside Lodge.

Guerneville is just a 4 mile drive from the house. This is a popular summer resort destination, and home to many LGBT events throughout the year.

Sebastopol, a very Californian town with shops, restaurants, and friendly people, is just 10 miles away. There is a restaurant/brewery, Whole Foods Market, wonderful homemade ice cream, andmany charming little shops on the main street here. In summer, there are wonderful farmers' markets here.

Within minutes of the house, you can go hiking in a redwood forest, go steelhead fishing, rent a canoe, visit a working farm, or just go for a long bicycle or motorcycle ride. 45 minutes to the west, the Russian River meets the ocean in Jenner. The Napa Valley wine region is a 45 minute drive east, home to hundreds of additional wineries and many outstanding restaurants.

$295 per night, plus $150 linens/cleaning fee per stay, $324 per night on major holiday weekends. Check in at 3pm, Check out at 11am. Inquire about early check-in, late check-outs.

2-night minimum September thru June.

7-night minimum in July + August, with check in/out FRIDAYS.
