2nd annual adult only tubing trip

Review submitted: July 29, 2014   Date of arrival: July 18, 2014

This was our second annual adult only tubing trip. We had 4 couples and greatly enjoyed our weekend. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the wrap around porch. We utilized the porch the most out of the entire house. We put the picnic table on the porch so that we could all enjoy the outside as much as possible to observe the other people going down the river. As far as the sleeping arrangements went, the house is better suited for adults and kids because the 3rd bedroom isn't ideal for adults. The outside sauna was definitely a benefit, since the river was freezing, we immediately jumped into the sauna to get warm. A major plus! We were able to drive to a local tube/canoe rental place and pay $5 a person to put ourselves into the river and then float right to the cabin and get out. Well worth the price to get right out at the cabin after a long afternoon of drinking and floating. We managed to get in 3 trips down the river! All in all, the cabin was in very good condition, the only thing that could have been better was the amount of cobwebs and spiders in the basement sleeping/bathroom area. The basement area was awesome with the pool table/ping pong table/ and poker table. We spent one evening down there playing all the games and there was plenty of room for 8 adults. I would say the trip was a success!! Thanks again for such a wonderful cabin on the river. We definitely will be back.

Great guys trip to the Manistee River

Review submitted: July 7, 2014   Date of arrival: June 27, 2014

Myself and four of my friends from high school decided to rent this cabin for a guys trip up north. We could not have been more impressed with this place. I do not think the pictures do it justice. The bedrooms are clean and roomy. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. The downstairs rec area was great for 5 guys in the early 30's. We got lots of use out of the pool table, ping pong table, and poker table.

As for the outside of the place we utilized the great sauna which was a nice added surprise for our trip. The location on the river was perfect. We were able to walk down to the canoe livery and rent kayacks and tubes. We had a great afternoon traveling down the beautiful Manistee River.

We used the provided charcoal grill to cook all our meals.

Charlotte was a very nice person to deal with while booking the cabin and throughout our stay. Everything was very easy.

I would recommend this place to anyone who was looking to get away in beautiful northern Michigan for some fun and relaxation.

Family Fall Fun Weekend

Review submitted: October 17, 2013   Date of arrival: September 27, 2013

My family and I (ages 65 to 2) spent three nights in this lovely home. It's so roomy and even with 5 boys all running around we never felt cramped. We so enjoyed the wrap around porch; from conversation, playing cars on the floor to losing oneself in a good book. The river is peaceful to watch and all enjoyed the rented kayaks for two full days. Then we end our day with family games around the large dining table. So much fun!
