Surround yourself in a peaceful tropical get away. This 1 bedroom/1 bath condo sleeps 4 and is perfect for a quick vacation, long leisure vacation, and overnight accommodations for wedding parties, business travelers, and even those who need temporary long term lodging.  The condo and community is family friendly but quiet and peaceful.  The bedroom has a queen size canopy bed complete with bamboo construction and decor. The living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa, with bamboo furniture and accents.  The kitchen is a full size galley style kitchen, with full size stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite counter tops.  The bathroom and kitchen are floored in tile while the rest of the condo is floored with plush feel-good-to-the-feet wool carpeting.  Please note, we ARE family and kid friendly! We have worked hard to create a peaceful, relaxing, and luxurious environment all the while making it as kid friendly as possible.

There is plenty of entertainment for you to enjoy by watching your favorite shows/games/movies on the 42" flat screen LCD television with cable service and DVD player in the living room.  Or as you are relaxing in bed, enjoy the 37" flat screen plasma television and DVD player in the bedroom. The cable service also includes the music channel selections if you really enjoy commercial free music; this can be really romantic to have playing in the background while eating a nice dinner on the back patio enjoying the evening air. Stay connected online without missing an important email while far away from it all through the free WIFI connection.  The phone service provider is Vonage so all of your domestic calls (including long distance) are free – go ahead and call home as much as you would like!  You’ll find a clock radio/IPOD-IPhone docking station in the bedroom if you find yourself needing an alarm or want to listen to the local radio stations.  But you’ll also find it may come in quite handy if you have forgotten your power cord or just want to listen to your own music playlist. Watch a movie from the DVD library, pick out a fun board game from the games library to play for family game night, play a game of solitaire, or simply kick back on the patio overlooking the panoramic view of the lake and take in a book from our library. You will fall in love when you open the front and sliding patio doors in the warn evening for one of the best cross breezes on the lake! Your children and grandchildren won’t be bored either; they will have fun swimming in the private condo pool, watching a movie from the kid’s DVD selections, reading a book from the kid’s library (hand selected by our 6, 7, and 9 year olds) or even enjoy coloring with the provided coloring books and crayons for the kids.  The kids might even enjoy challenging the adults to a competitive game of Cranium or Dominoes!

All bath and bed linens are supplied for you. You will be oh so cozy wrapping yourself in super silky soft 500-thread count Egyptian cotton bed linens – you won’t want to get out of bed! Shower time will bring on a whole new meaning when you wrap yourself in the plush Egyptian Cotton Towels we provide for you after indulging in a rainfall show experience, but it doesn’t stop here. You’ll be able to finish out your bath time by wrapping up in the cozy spa robe brought straight from The Spa at Spanish Bay; go ahead and bring back those memories from Pebble Beach!  Make bath time me time when you pamper yourself with the Aromae Botanical Bath Amenities. You will also find that we provide to you an Iron, Ironing Board, Hair Dryer, emergency bathroom supplies, toilet paper, box fan, extra pillows and blankets, a Vacuum, and even a Hair Straightener if there are any ladies out there who sometimes forget this essential need like I have.

You’ll enjoy staying in and cooking a few of your meals in the beautiful kitchen complete with Stainless Steele Appliances, Granite Countertops, and Tile Flooring. Not only does it look beautiful but you find the kitchen very functional – we have most everything but the food; and it all coordinates beautifully! The kitchen is stocked with all the standard appliances, matching & complimenting stoneware, utensils, cookware, glasses, plastic cups, cooking utensils/cooking toys/gadgets, bottle opener, manual corkscrew, wine glasses, champagne flutes, beer steins, bamboo cutting boards, storage ware, and pots & pans.  Small appliances include Coffee Maker, Blender, George Foreman Grill, Waffle Iron, Microwave, Toaster, Can Opener, Wine Bottle Opener, and even a Crock Pot. And we are constantly adding more! Did you catch any fish today? Did you pick up some succulent steaks to cook for dinner? Want to keep it Texas style and opt for smoking some brisket? On the patio you can smoke or grill your daily catch on the Electric Smoker and Grill. Oh, and don’t worry about running out to the store first thing in the morning for your Java fix! You’ll be provided with full coffee, tea, and cocoa service for your morning and afternoon enjoyment (Regular and Decaf Coffee, a variety of decaf and non decaf flavored and green teas, Regular and Vanilla flavored creamers, sugar, Equal, and Sweet-n-Low). And you probably won’t have to worry about running out to the grocery store either for basic kitchen and bath necessities! Save yourself money and time! The kitchen is stocked with basic necessities including coffee filters, hand and dish towels, pot holders, paper towels, paper plates, plastic cutlery, cleaning supplies, sponges, dishwasher detergent, napkins, plastic storage ware, spices, cooking spray, Sea Salt and Pepper Grinders, plastic baggies, foil, and plastic wrap. 

This is also our local vacation get-away, so we have worked very hard to make this condo a one-of-a-kind relaxing luxury that is enjoyed by our family and can be enjoyed by yours.  Although the condo is completely up to date, we have recently painted throughout and are very assertive to the condo being super clean; including cleaning and/or shampooing the carpet regularly.

You’ll love The Lodge’s onsite amenities as well. You‘ll find on-site laundry facilities at the Condominium complex in case you’re in need of doing some laundry. But who wants to do laundry while on vacation?  Go ahead then and enjoy the On-site Pool exclusive to The Lodge residents and guests only (This is in addition to the Walden Community pool access). Sit in the swing and watch the ducks, or fish from the swing! The kids will enjoy casting a line from the bulkhead as well - but watch out! They may decide to jump in the lake to cool off or just romp around! And if you happen to wear yourself out or have a heavy load when coming or going, please use the elevator! But if you choose, there are stairs too!

Are you bringing your boat? You can dock it at The Lodge boat dock that is free to use for residents and guests only. There are two boat ramps located in Walden to choose from – you’ll want to put in as soon as possible! If you plan on bringing your boat, please be sure to let us know so we can get you the proper passes for trailer storage. Are you not planning on bringing your boat? Don’t own a boat? Look out from the balcony of the condo and you can see the Walden Marina which is home to Just for Fun Water Sports where you can rent a boat or Jet Ski. To be fair, there are actually several boat and Jet Ski rental companies on the lake to choose from.

Within walking distance to the condo, there is the Walden Yacht Club that has a wonderful Sunday brunch, as well as great dinners and a nice wine cellar. Attached to the Yacht Club is the Walden pool, which offers complete poolside service during the summer months. There is also a kid’s playground area located next to the pool, a nice picnic area, and even great fishing spots. The Yacht Club is open to the public as is the playground. We do provide the pool passes to you for access to the main pool. Be sure to plan on taking a walk over to the Yacht club area and walk around the grounds.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised!

A little drive down the main road to Walden you will find attached to the Walden Golf Club is the Caddy Shack Bar and Grill which is open to the public. They just started serving a weekend brunch too but be sure to read the Marquee every day out front when you drive by The Caddy Shack as they have a daily feature. The golf course and range are private. If you are interested in golfing at Walden and one of the best ranked golf courses in Texas, please let us know so we can make appropriate accommodations for you. Already have golf plans? Then all you need is you bag!  But don’t forget, there are over 11 public and private courses in the area around the lake!

Do you like to work out? Play tennis? Play Racquetball? Leisurely walk the great outdoors? Located down Walden Road close to the Marina is a new state of the art gym and tennis club. The pool access card will give you access to these facilities as well. You’ll love getting your outdoor exercise by using the walking and jogging trails throughout the subdivision.

Located in the community of Walden on Lake Conroe.  The nearby town on Montgomery, birthplace of the Texas Flag, boasts quaint antique shopping and a little bit of small town charm.  The area is approximately 45 minutes from Downtown Houston and 30 minutes from Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH).  Montgomery and Lake Conroe boasts great fishing, water sports, golfing, and fun.
