This new camp is something special. Constructed in the traditional Maine camp style. It has been wonderfully put together and has beautiful, bright varnished pine interior v-match walls.  The camp is situated on a hillside well above four other camps affording excellent privacy from neighbors with Great Pond still being only 200' away.

The main level offers a roomy modern European kitchen with all new appliances, black granite tile and a 9 foot bar area. The dining area and living room offer a wonderful open floor plan. The main level also has a large screened porch which is perfect to curl up and read a book or just enjoy the wonderful natural setting. The master bedroom and full bath are located on the main level.

Up the stairs there is a roomy loft which has two twins and couch. Perfect for games or another spot to kick back and relax. Down the "catwalk" there is the large 2nd bedroom which has 3 twins. A door leads to a smaller upper deck.

The 3rd and lower level is a walk-out basement with TV area and a 3rd bedroom. There is a washer/dryer in the basement. Heat available to take the edge off cool nights for those enjoying our leaf season.

On the waterfront is a new dock, private swimming area, BBQ area, a buoy to attach your boat and/or watercraft to, and another waterfront deck that is great for dining at the water's edge.

From this location on the eastern side of Pinkham's Cove, you can boat all over Great Pond, ride your boat in to Belgrade Lakes village, and enjoy picture-perfect sunsets. The shore also has car access to as close as about 25 feet from the water, which is convenient for loading/unloading kayaks, canoes, and the like.

The Belgrade Lakes area is known best as the inspiration for the story and film On Golden Pond. The lakes in the area (7 beautiful interconnected lakes) offer great boating, fishing, waterskiing and swimming.

Enjoy the day at the lake or going through the countryside shopping treasures and antiquing. If you prefer a game of golf, the highly acclaimed course in Belgrade Lakes is located just a few miles away. A day trip to Bar Harbor lets you enjoy more of Maine from this wonderful location.

Bring your boat and spend the day on any one of the seven incredible and beautiful lakes in the area. Boat/kayak rentals are readily available at several locations.

Please note Maine State Lodging Tax of 8.5% will apply to all rental rates.

                    Security Deposit:  $500.   Mandatory Departure Cleaning Fee:  $75

                    Nice new house, kitchen but not on water.

                    We stayed at this house the last week of August 2011. The house is new and has a great kitchen with great appliances and wonderful porch that's screened in with nice furniture. Floors are beautiful. However, the house itself has some significant drawbacks

                    . First, it is not on the water with no water view. You have to walk quite a ways downhill for a full minute get to the water. The dock is nice but small but has some cheap folding chairs. and a simple picnic bench. Nice swimming but too deep for little ones. Second, the house is rather small and you can hear everything. Our master bedroom had paper thin walls. Since the house is open upstairs, sleeping was not great. The master bed was very comfortable but we had to make everyone stay down in the basement at night to play cards as the noise traveled through the house and kept us awake. Really, it's a lot more like a two bedroom house that sleeps 5. The one other 'real' bedroom has 3 twin beds in it and is very nice. The upstairs loft has two beds out in the open area but it's so loud it's not good for those trying to sleep up there. The basement bedroom was terrible! It smelled like mold, was windowless and tiny with no room to move. I was embarrassed to give it to my friend. She complained about the moldy smell too and hated staying in the "black hole" as she labeled it. It did have a nice 2nd small living room downstairs in the basement, thank goodness. But we noticed the molding on doors was unfinished downstairs. And you couldn't sit down on the toilet in the downstairs bathroom without having your face in the sink. Even the new kitchen bar is so high you can't sit at it. The outside deck didn't even have chairs to sit on. It's the kind of house that tries to look upscale but fails because they didn't think through things that are important to people like a window in the bedroom and a quiet place to sleep

                    . We liked how new it was, the house is pretty and the porch was great but not worth the price given the issues noted and no view and not on the lake at all.

                    Owners response: Unfortunately the old adage that you can't please everyone all the time holds true for this guest.

                    The guest came to the property with a big discount and even at that price still thought the home was not up to her standards. What she would have gotten for the price she paid would have been much much less of a place. Certainly not 2 baths and a place that can sleep 9! Basically a demand for champagne at a beer price.

                    The home is situated up in a wooded and secluded spot in order to take advantage of the privacy afforded, which most guests appreciate for their vacation.

                    Paper thin walls?? This home is solidly built with quality, as the photos clearly show. What we had were noisy guests. We had complaints from neighbors about their excessive noise and frequent loud outbursts going on at our home and shore area by one female in particular. No extra amount of wall width would have been satisfactory.

                    Some people like a loft area at a Maine camp.

                    The fact that the home has an extra bathroom is really a big plus. Not many places have two (brand new) bathrooms.

                    Despite this reviewer's opinion, the home is upscale. There is absolutely no mold in it. There are chairs in the screen porch. A quiet place to sleep has been and still can be had.

                    Awesome location. Cabin was clean, roomy and peaceful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful restful vacation. Great place to fish also!! My boys caught a few right off the dock.

                    Recommended for: families with young children, romantic getaway
